USS Skytoucher Mission 5: the Dark Passage Treaty

*Watching on the viewscreen as the last shuttle entered the shuttle bay he moved back to his seat*

Helm, lay in a course to Vontak Nor, Warp 2.

Commander Rasmain, raise shields to full strength.

Lieutenant Omak, scan our course for any anomalies.

Helm, Engage.

[Loxians]

*The Loxian ships closed in to the Skytoucher and Evolution, keeping a closed formation as they moved. The flagship had suffered quite a bit of damage, but it was still strong enough to defend itself. Aboard the ship, the Loxian general looked at the viewscreen.*
"So this is what Starfleet calls 'reinforcement'? A tiny, weak ship? I had expected more of them... well, they've had their chance to surrender. They refused, so now we will destroy them. Are we ready?"
"Hang on, receiving an incoming secure signal now... Hmm..."
"What? What is it?"
"YES! Our spy did his job! We've received all command codes we need to get the Skytoucher dead in the water."
*The Loxian general smiles, as he looks at the Skytoucher on the viewscreen one last time.*
"Say your death rite prayers, Skytoucher, if you have any. Let the second fleet concentrate on the Evolution, to keep them busy for now. As for the Skytoucher... NOW!"
*At that moment, the Loxian flagship fired a concentrated beam on well-calculated places on the Skytoucher. Instantly, the Skytoucher is rocked around heavily, many explosions take place, and half the power supplies go down.*

[Vakin]

"Sir, you HAVE to let me go with this away team. Who else can predict the actions of the Loxians if not me? And in dire need, time will be of the essence and reacting fast in a matter of seconds may save many lives. Is there no way to cloak my life signature so they won't know I'm Loxian?"

[Omak]

If I am Correct, These Beings are Energy Vampires. The

Romulans encountered these Beings About one

thousand years ago. They devasted four Stations

And the Provdence  of DAVANTOR. Thirty Two Million

Romulans lost their lives.

Skon joins the others on the transporter platform.

The Doctor recovers his senses and watches the tendril ignore him, somehow, as it races through and out of the Sickbay.  Suddenly he remembers what the tendril represents and he has a sudden urge to think.  The Doctor slumps against the wall in a deep trance...

*Zayan slowly begins to regain her consciousness and begins to be aware of where she is and what is happening around her. Suddenly, she sits up on the biobed and looks angrily.*
"Ahhh Zentox! I should have known! I will-oh... my head!"
*And she lets herself fall on the biobed again.*

OFF: I agree that this mission within a mission is part of the agreement to sign a treaty in that it shows how involved and helpful the Federation can be, however, like my sentence, it is too long already.  :-)

Mr. Rasmain, execute attack plan.

Mr. Nofftz, you may resume the Ops position. Continue to let me know casualty updates and damage reports. Try to get repair crews to all critical parts of the ship.

The purple tendril creeps closer and closer to Skon. You'd think one of the bridge crew members would have noticed it by now.

If you approve this plan, I believe General Zentox would make an excellent addition to the away team. Along with myself, from the Skytoucher crew I suggest Mr. Robinson --  at a minimum -- also participate.

Also, Gul Marcet, if you will require technical assistance in getting the station opporational, we should bring along Mr. Omak and perhaps Mr. Marotek as well.
