OFF: I started a new forum for the Doctor's quarters. Those of you involved in that part of the mission, post there and keep the bridge updated on your progress.

OFF: Sorry to hear about the computer problems, Balkazar. Hope it's nothing serious.

But you're right, this is a good time for me to update everyone on what's going on. We've just docked with Vontak Nor, and after we've settled the Loxian refuges and conducted Captain Burma's funeral, we're going back to Avalon.

Once we reach Avalon, Vakin is going on trial. Characters who have had dealings with him (Myself, Rasmain, the Doctor, Balkazar, Lupin and anyone I've left out) will have to testify. Other characters will be involved with refitting the ship under Mr. Black's supervision. OFF: Burma, do you mean me when you ask the Ambassador to stay on the bridge? :P

Kelli opens a Jeffries Tube access port and begins her descent to Engineering.

Meanwhile, back on the Loxian colony base...

The situation here is grim. The colony is rapidly losing life support. We need to evacuate the victims as soon as possible. Please  coordinate the evacuatiom with the Doctor and his staff. It might be helpful if the Skytoucher could scan the colony for life forms and help us identify the living.

Sheilds are up aft and port at 20%,starboard at 35%. Forward are only at 18%. Phasers are back online. Awaitng your orders.

(Aboard the USS Skytoucher, Deck 2)

The doors to the Doctor's quarters are suffiuced with a brilliant pink light as the alien tendril finally has him cornered.  It pauses this side of the door and seems to watch the Doctor and his cat while it cycles through a few more horrifying shapes.  Soon another tendril has joined it, appearing to drift down from the ceiling, and the two merge and assume the shape of a small purple crab-like creature with several antennae waving in the air.

"Oh, this is just lovely.  So you finally caught me.  Why not tell me who you are, we can talk about this, reasonably, without all the mind-control drama?"

*We are Naji'it.  You are not Naji'it.  You are dangerous.  You will die.*

The Doctor backs away and accidentally sprawls onto the couch.  "This isn't right at all.  I'm at your mercy, you should be explaining how you intend to take over the universe, that how it always happens.  You gloat, I get rescued, and your plans are foiled.  It always works."

*Explanations are not necessary- you must die.*

"Oh dear, this just isn't on you know.  I'm sure you're not playing this game right at all... "  The Doctor's enemies move toward him as he backs up toward the food replicator.  "I'm not sure why,' the Doctor thinks to himself, 'but I just don't think I should allow them to corner me in the head.  It just wouldn't be dignified to die near a commode...'

OFF: Sorry guys, but I really couldn't get the tendrils to go too slowly.  I get the impression I've really ticked them off, but I don't know how or why.  As Kirk told Scotty about being rescued in "The Doomsday Machine": "Now would be a good time."

[Vakin]

*At that moment, the doors to engineering slide open, and Vakin runs inside, holding a phaser. He looks around and sees people busily working in all areas. He turns back for a moment to see if he's being followed yet, and then makes for a run through engineering, firing his phaser at anyone in his way.*

"Loxian weaponry is usually target-concentrated. Their energy beams are usually focussed to do alot of damage on a small place, rather than spread it out over a larger field. So when you see hull damage, don't look for the overall shape of it, but look at the centre of the damage to find the worst of it."

"Yes, he mentioned needing some help. Lets get down there then Mr. Russo, I'm sure with more hands down there we can shave some time off getting this ship back into shape"

What´s happened here...?

I´ll beam over to Mora. I will try to co ordinate the efforts to repair here.

I will open a comlink between our two ships in case there is something.

*Rugal leaves the bridge and almost runs to the transporter room and beams himself over. The sight he sees when he materilizes in the transporter room on Mora brings back some desturbing old memories... It seems that Rugals hole life is re-playing infront of his eyes, and it is not an Academy-Award-winning production he is seeing, he remembers when he and the rest of the 23rd fleet arrived here, when the loxians came, all the horrible times.

He shakes everything of his mind and gets in the same decisive moode as always.*

It was for the good of the Union *He tells himself and walks to the bridge to lead the repairs from there.*
