USS Skytoucher Mission 5: the Dark Passage Treaty

Skon nods as Lupin and Russo leave the bridge. Then, the viewscreen flickers again. The Evolution hangs in space, close to the Skytoucher. She is still fighting, but it is apparent that she has taken heavy damage.

We're glad to help you out. From what I see, it's a miracle you've managed to survive this long at all. By the way, where is Captain Burma? Last I knew, he was the Skytoucher's captain, was he not?

"Communications will have to be repaired one deck to another. Meaning i won't be able to get them all at once. Sensors will be more difficult. But we might be able to get minimum power to them to get some readings around us. Otherwise we will just have to look out the windows."

Black smiles. And returns to work

[Tyn]

*Shakes her head slightly*

"I apologize for having to do this against your will, but an outcast of my kind would have caused the death of all manki--I mean, he screwed up badly. Now I'm here to fix it, despite your decision."

*Snapping her finger this time, the entire vessel is sent spinning, travelling millions of lightyears per second, all in the direction of the station. The crew feels the imbalance of the floor, stumbling over eachother and bracing themselves on consoles. Tyn stands unwavered, her hands behind her back, standing tall, staring off as in lost in thought (possibly needing to concentrate to not lose control of the ship). The ship slowly comes to a stop. The crew sighs with relief as they carefully stand back up and untangle themselves with the others. One lieutenant points to the viewing screen near the front of the bridge.*

Lieutenant :"Look! It's Avalon!"

*Smiles down to Skon, now rising from his spill, and salutes him with two fingers before disappearing, possibly never to be seen again.*

=A= Skytoucher to Loxian Fleet =A=

This is Commander Skon of the USS Skytoucher. My apologies for not responding sooner, but I was unavoidably detained.

Be that as it may, I would like to point out that if you scan this vessel, you will discover that Kowan is not aboard. Therefore, I could not hand him over to you, even if I were so inclined. As for the Loxian refuges, we rescued them when their home was destroyed and are delivering them to a safe haven. Under the Articles of Interstellar Law, they are under our protection and we will not surrender them.

It is illogical to threaten violence in order to resolve a conflict. Regardless, you should know that if you attack the Skytoucher, it will mark the third time in recent memory that your government has attacked a Starfleet vessel. The first being the kidnapping of Captain Sanchez of the USS Evolution and the second being Kowan's attack on this ship itself. The first two instances might be overlooked as misunderstandings, but I can assure you that if you fire upon us in neutral space, you are risking all-out war with the Federation.

You may possess the firepower to destroy this ship, but I sincerely doubt that you will be so fortunate when the rest of our fleet arrives. On the other hand, we originally came to this area to negotiate a treaty with you and your government. We are still willing to do so. I suggest that you stand down and begin a dialogue before it's too late.

*Meanwhile, in sickbay, the blue tendril starts to move around restless. Nobody is near, and it finds itself alone.*

*Instantly, the blue tendril moves at high speed through the room, until it bumps against a wall. Then it holds silent for a moment, and moves through the room at an even faster speed, but instead of bumping against the other wall this time, it moves through it... and through another... and another... as it keeps increasing speed, until it reaches the outer hull of the Skytoucher...*

Perhaps, but if he is a spy, I'd rather have him on board...under your supervision -- his actions might tell us something about what the Loxians are planning.

Gentlemen, even if the Evolution restores her comms, the chances of sending a message to Starphoenix are very slim. The subspace interference in the Dark Passage makes long-range communications impossible. The only way we were able to communicate with Avalon was by launching a long-range probe with a message attached...

[Doctor]

OFF: My concern is for the swift movement of the story and also the wounded.  I was just thinking the shuttle tangent was filler, but I see your points about the asteroid instability and the need to evacuate the non-wounded survivors.  No insults were intended- I just hate missions to be filled with clutter and unnecessary tangents.
