*** As I am pressing buttons and finishing diagnostics on vital systems,  I realize it would probably be a good idea to start fixing the transporters.  I run a diagnostic on the transporter systems and find that they are heavily damaged.  

I open the panel and begin to work on the transporter.  I take out my tricorder and my laser tool and start working away. Realizing this could take several hours.

Rasmain was still behind the helmconsole

"Well Commander, I still have 1/4 impuls but I am almost flying blind here."

Rasmain had arrived at the torpedoroom and told the engineering officers to go and help Commander Skon and Marotek. He stood behind a console and began his work as an engineer.

Skon raises an eyebrow and looks up at the viewscreen, which shows a fuzzy picture of the Evolution dropping out of warp.

My compliments, Captain Sanchez, and my thanks. We are, indeed "taking a beating" as you humans say. We have only partial main power. The Cardassian station Vontak Nor is also in great distress. We are attempting repairs, but we have at least one intruder on board. There is something else out here besides the Loxians. Be cautious.

[Loxians]

*On board the Loxian flagship, an officer runs toward the General.*
"Sir, we've got an incoming transmission, it's our spy aboard the Skytoucher!"
"What does he say?"
*And the message resounds through the intercom.*
"Vakin to Loxian Flagship! Come in! Beam me out of here, my cover has been blown up by that d*mned captain Sanchez!"
"Sir, do we get him out of there? I think we got a lock on him!"
*The General takes a deep breath and frowns, before he speaks.*
"No... we'd have to lower our shields to get him aboard. We can't take that risk. Like I said before, he's done his job well, we no longer need him now. And what we no longer need, we dispose ourselves of. Fire!"
*And the Loxian flagship opens fire on the Skytoucher, rocking the ship back and forth.*

Well, Mr. Rasmain, we have 1/4 impulse. Not exactly ideal circumstances in which to join the battle. What do you think?

Doctor, I am glad that you made it out alive. I would like your thoughts into these strange creatures, since you have had the most experience with them. How much of a threat do they pose to the Skytoucher?

Black enters. Pushing the doors open himself.

"Engineering's a reck. With no stardock to work on it i can do no good. What's going on here. I've been doing by best to get Communications up. But all i have heard since arrival is Loxians. Are they gone? I have much to know about them or if there is some sort of war with us and them"

Black was ripping off cloth from his uniform and covering some deep cuts on his arm.
