Sir, the Loaxians are turing around for another run at us.  Shall we stay and fight, or shall i enter warp?

At least in the case of this ship, I would like to remind you that we were invited to enter your space to negotiate a treaty. And then we were promptly attacked by Kowan. It's true that we rescued a group of exiled Loxians after their home had been destroyed -- by an unknown force --but since your government had already banished them, they can hardly be considered citizens under your authority, can they? They are a free people under their own laws and we are transporting them to safety.

Again, we do not wish to fight you. It is true that there have been many misunderstandings between our peoples. But we could work these problems out in a way that would be beneficial to both our societies and avoid bloodshed. A battle here will only start a major interstellar war, which, I think, both sides would wish to avoid.

Instead, I propose that representatives of all sides of the conflict meet at a neutral site, where we can negotiate and attempt to work out our differences peacefully.

This could be beneficial for all sides, especially considering that the unknown force that attacked the exile base is still out there and they could strike again...perhaps next time at the Loxian homeworld.
