*Vakin runs from corridor to corridor, as hard as he can, while pushing others aside and firing his phaser on the others.*
"Where is that d*mned shuttlebay?"
*The ship shudders and rocks once again, some parts of the ceiling come down and Vakin can avoid it just in time. When he looks back, he sees Sanchez, Keilah and Rasmain nearing in the distance. He quickly jumps down to avoid a phaser blast as they attempt to fire on him with a stunbeam. He tries to get back on his feet to get away in time, but they get near pretty quick. Then suddenly, the ship shakes again and for a moments, the lights go out in the corridor. Vakin wants to use the moment of confusion to fire on them, but it's too dark to see them. Instead, he fires against the ceiling, and more parts of it collapse. Holding them back this way and gaining a bit more time, he makes for another run again, until at last around the corner he finds the doors of the shuttlebay. The doors automatically open, and Vakin enters. For a moment he looks around, thinking which shuttle he should take, and then decides to make for the one nearest to the gate.*

It was a nice try to escape from this, but I fear for you that it was in vain. Even if Kowan weren't on board, our scanners clearly show you have a great number of Loxians on board, rebels and exiles, and you will hand them over now! And this may be the third incident between your Federation and our government, but remember that it was you who entered our space each time, not the other way around! Remember it was you who defended criminals against our laws, not the other way around! Hand them over now, or prepare to die with them! You have one minute to transport them to our ships.

The viewscreen flickers on and off...Skon sees distorted images of Loxian ships sweeping in to attack, then, the screen goes blank. The bridge crew braces for impact, but nothing happens...The screen flickers again...they see the Loxian flagship turn...it has been damaged.  

Apparently, the Evolution has saved us...for now. Damage report, all stations.

Another console fizzles out. Skon touches his com badge in an attempt to contact Engineering. It doesn't work. Behind him, another console goes dark. Internal communications have been lost.  

At least give me an estimate on how long we shall be able to maintain life support.

The screen flickers again as the Loxian fleet turns to meet the Evolution

[Doctor]

(Meanwhile, in Sickbay)

The Doctor works feverishly to mend broken bones, gaping wounds and severe injuries. Two nurses assist him, but the rest are scattered thru-out the ship.  The battle momentarily makes everyone's stomach queasy as gravity fluctuates.  "Dieting is one thing," the Doctor thinks to himself, "but losing weight this way is not good."

Suddenly a mysterious, cloud-like purple tendril of something is visible to several of the patients.  It seems to seep into the room through the walls and heads straight for the Doctor.  (Unknown to him, a similar event is happening on the Bridge, where a tendril reaches for Skon.)

Whereas the Bridge crew are alert and act, but Sickbay is too crowded and busy- no one is able to warn the Doctor before the cloud engulfs him.  The Doctor is frozen in place, mid-operation, and the cloud glows a brilliant pink.  Under other circumstances it would be beautiful, but now...

[OFF: Why do these things always happen to me...]

OFF: Naw. Everyone gets shore leave. Just make sure the repairs get done. lol I don't know if they're active either, but we will need to get underway pretty soon, so repairs do need to be made. The turbolift doors open and Skon enters the bridge.

Rhade worked his controls as quickly as he could. He targeted the flagship's aft shielding and fired phasers. After two direct hits, only receiving one from the Loxians in the process, the vessel's aft shielding was disabled. Without sparing a moment, Rhade quickly executed Attack Pattern Kappa Three, targeting the vessel's secondary shielding emitters.

Sir, the flagship's aft shielding has been disabled. Also I managed to render 76% of its secondary shielding inoperable. Perhaps we can force the ship to switch to secondary shielding using tachyon pulses fired from the deflector dish? It should force them to switch to secondaries, and may allow me enough time to disable the primary generators while they aren't in use.

OFF: How many other Loxian vessels are there besides the Flagship? Or has it not been stated yet?

Thank you, Captain. Since Gul Marcet knows of a safe transport area, I suggest we beam down a small away team to secure the station, and then we can beam down a larger team later -- once everything is safe. If you approve this plan, we will beam the team in within the hour.

Gul Marcet, I suggest that we hold the briefing here on the bridge (OFF: Seems to be where almost everyone posts on a regular basis.)

For the primary team, I think we can keep it under 8 members. I suggest:

Skon, by any chance when we return to Avalon what positions on board will be open to transfer into? I have been interested in the Tac/Secr Position for some time now and I have been wondering whether or not that position would be needing someone new.
