Captain, Commanders, everyone on the bridge. I am Lt. Solark Baklavar. I am your new tactical officer. I apologize for my abrupt entrance. I will quickly go to my station. Please excuse my abrubptness. Please carry on everyone. I believe we have an epidemic afoot about some biological weapons needing dealt. What I miss. tsk. How may I assist.

(he retreats quickly to his station and salutes his respects to all the high command and takes his place.)

Realizes what he just said.

"This mission has to start first."

Continues to mind his buisness by entering a repeatitive series of commands on the console.  A series of commands that in the end did nothing.  Still, it kept the reports out of his hair.
