There was a blinding flash and a crack and a man dressed in a starfleet admirals uniform appeard on the bridge.  He walked over to the command chari while no one was sitting there and sat down.

*looks up as Taurik and Vorak enter the bridge*

*stands up and shakes voraks hand, it's good to see you again sir.

*internally chokes at the niceness*.

All of the engineering staff evacuates as the bulkhead door comes down.  
"Computer eject primary warp core."
*The entire ship shutters as the hatch below the core is blown and the core slides out of the bottom of the rivendell.  The engineering staff returns to engineering and begins routing all warp functions to the secondary warp core.*

*Morgan arrives on the bridge looking like he just crawled through the eps manafolds and goes to Commander Travis*

"Commander, what the heck just happened the core was functioning at top efficency then all the sudden it went criticle and we had to eject it?"
