HK47

"You sure you dont want me to disembowl anyone?.  Ah nuts." he said snapping his metalic fingers in a somewhat human manner.

"Well are you done downloading the program or what, Lt.  I can be disembowling people by now." HK said obviously getting irritated at the slowness of the Engineer.

"So Ancient Meatbag, I have been around these humans a long time and I know whats allowed and not allowed, as long as I dont permanently silence anyone onboard im fine." HK said towards Raszagal.

Dolan rolled his eyes at Dar'Nas's apparant feeling of superiority.

~Let the guy have his fun~ thought Dolan.  He added his subroutines before reloading Dar'Nas's translation matrix.  He then ran his deactivation program through the computer, to confirm that it was safe.  Once that was done, he started using the translation matrix and was relieved when it worked.  However, he wasn't especially excited about the sudden rapid explosions throughout the ship.

Dolan coughed as the dust and smoke rose.  Small fires appeared thoughout engineering.  He looked through the ship's logs before yelling out, "It seems the ship shut down all of the systems so it could overload the EPS conduits without us knowing about it!  We managed to get artificial gravity and life support back before they blew though, so we have a little time!"  He suffered another coughing fit before managing to grab a fire extinguisher and putting a few nearby fires out.  Fortunately for the quick reaction of the marines nearby, all the fires were out within a few minutes.

Dar'Nas

< Dar'Nas was finally able to repair the sensor array. He grabbed a phaser and ran for the air lock to help with the battle raging outside.>

he tapped his com badge and told the captain that the sensors were up and running at 63.4%.

Raszagal

Raszagal spun around in her chair. "With all due respect, Doctor, I'm not sure where you got your numbers. I saw dozens of Starfleet officers lose their lives out there."

Throwing her hair up as loosely as she could get away with, she had been on her way to the bridge herself when it had been cleared of the lower ranks, including her own. She couldn't help but sigh at this - her rank hardly served her well at such times, and she knew it. ..She'd have to work on that. Instead she made her way down to engineering to see what she could find out about the situation. If anyone else knew, the people there would.

As unfortunate as it was, the chaos made it difficult to find out much of anything. The engines were down, and the bridge was cleared; this was something big. She had her suspicions. This was the one of the things she hated whenever she found herself in a new position; it would take time to build trusts and make friends in high (or low, if the situation so required) places. In fact, she had barely seen the Commanding Officer yet at all. In some cases being invisible is exactly what's required, but this was not one of those times.

After looking over the shoulders of a few engineers, word of a senior staff briefing made its way to her. Smirking at the ways her rank did work in her favour, she headed back towards the bridge at a reasonable pace.

Nodding slightly to the bridge officer with a smile, she confidently walked into the briefing room. "I beg your pardon, Sirs," she said in a hushed voice, "but if there's something going on here.." she paused for a moment, purposely, "I think I should be aware of it. It's impossible for me to do my job blindly. The crew is already nervous, to put it bluntly, and I can't help them if I don't know what we're dealing with. So if you'd be so kind," she smiled, "I'd like to sit in on this one."

Thomas Richards

Tom sat in the briefing, quiet as usual. He had come onboard the ship before it's departure, working as the Ops officer. He always tended to quietly observe and do what was needed from him, but he felt he needed to speak up here.

"Sirs" he paused, deciding it would be best to introduce himself, as he hadn't drawn any notice to himself before, and would be an unknown. "- Ensign Richards, Operations Officer - has the computer given us a location for this molecule?"

Balkazar

<Balkazar and his men were hiding behind the barricades waiting for the Heraan to come, morning came as the Heraan charged with overwhelming odds at the Marine battle lines.  The area thick with marines screaming as they fired their phasers and the camoflaged pill boxes let loose with a full barrage of phaser fire.  Balkazar and his men opened fire to cover their brave comrades who took up position outside.  The more the marines took down, the more it seemed like the Heraan had endless numbers as they fired their plasma weapons at the marines>

Raszagal

Raszagal affixed the Heraani energy bracer to her arm and hoisted her rifle. The team entered the Heraani scoutship and split into two distinct groups. Raszagal kept low, her rifle at the ready, as they made their way through the glossy-walled corridors of the ship. An occasional Heraan happened to stumble across their party, but were quickly silenced.

Raszagal and her team arrived at the command chamber on the ship, and the young Gallifreyan saw a Heraani lieutenant standing at the command platform. Warships of the Heraani armada had no command seats, and very few chairs of any sort. With a silent wave for her men to hold back, Raszagal set her rifle to the deck, retrieved her Khaydarin shard from her pocket, and keyed the door to open. There were various Heraan working at their stations, and Raszagal used the power of the shard to mask her presence, not physically, but in the minds of the aliens.

One Heraan began to walk toward her, and Raszagal froze. The tall alien began to walk past her, and tripped over her foot, stumbling a bit. The Gallifreyan focused as much energy as possible into the shard, hoping to maintain her anonymity. The alien turned, looked directly at her foot...

...and shrugged it off, thinking he must have tripped over a loose bit of plating on the deck. Raszagal breathed a sigh of relief, and inched closer to the lieutenant. She came as close as she could, knowing any closer would alert the officer's psionic senses to her presence. She immediately refocused her energy from stealth to sheer power, and leaped at the Heraan, lighting her bracer in mid-air. The lieutenant turned just in time to see the swirling, green energy blade pierce his chest, and to realize the irony of his death by a Heraani weapon.

At this point, her cover was blown, and she faced several armed aliens, all training their plasma rifles at her head.

Her mouth curled into a gentle smirk as she skimmed the file carefully, expecting something of this sort from the beginning. Perhaps she didn't expect his rank to be as high as it was, but there was no doubt in her mind that he was Intel; not after he had called her into his ready room in the way that he had, anyway.

"I told you, Director. The only secrets here are the ones we tell ourselves. I had no secrets that you didn't already know. You had quite the advantage on me, but I knew it. And you knew that I knew it. That's what makes these games so interesting. I freely admit to enjoying the cat and mouse. Now that we're being honest, what can I do for you, really? You still haven't told me as much."

Mike Powell

*Powell looked to his radio as it muffled out something, he wasn't able to make it and he continued down the long corridor with his team. It felt like they have been walking about fifteen minutes until they saw ahead a very large blast door. It was about the size of two shuttles stacked on one another and as wide as two of next to each other the long way. As they approached he also thought he had just scene a bend in the light of the flash light of the man taking point. It was only for a split second and he thought nothing about it. As they got to the door He searched for a control panel as to open it. He walked from one side to the other and found on the wall a panel. It was glowing red as to indicate it as being sealed. He had one of his technicians come up with all his fancy gear and work on it to open it. The stood there about ten minutes then all of the sudden from behind them a pressance was felt they looked and nothing was there. Powell held up a light down the corridor and the light was bent so bad it look like a spool of thread had got caught in some kind of engine. After that the wrist blades of the Heeran light up in a quick flash and their cloaks dropped and they charged.*

"Alert cover your selves from the rear!"

*Powell shouted to get the attention of the unsuspecting marines and as they turned one by one they took a stance, took aim, and unleashed their deadly precics marine accuracy upon the charging Heeran.*

< Swift Retribution's cargo bay >

A passing ensign noticed Dolan's body collapsed on the floor of the cargo bay.  He rushed over and tapped his combadge.

=/\=  Ensign Turner to Avalon Station =/\=

Lieutenant Dolan has been found unconsious on the Swift Retribution.  Lock on to his combadge and transfer him to Sickbay ASAP.

=/\= Ensign Turner out =/\=

Dolan was immediately beamed to Avalon Station's Sickbay.

Raszagal

(OFF: Nice, B. I couldn't help but laugh. By the way, Dolan, nice twist.)

"I can't say that I do. Stand back."

Raszagal activated the Heraani bracer she was wearing, and stabbed the blade into the forcefield. It flickered for a moment, but so did the weapon, and unfortunately, the bracer gave out first, and the field returned to full strength.

"Damn," she cursed, tossing the overloaded weapon to the deck. "Um, you might want to lay down. This could get a little ugly."

As soon as Dolan was on the deck, Raszagal took out her Khaydarin shard and concentrated. She pressed outward with every bit of her ability, and the forcefield dimmed slightly, and flickered again for a moment. She then pulled back, and gave the forcefield one final jolt. Her psionic pressure won out, and the forcefield overloaded and shut down. She ducked out of the way just as the fried emitter fell to the deck.

"I doubt I can do that again," she said, physically drained. "We'll have to get everyone else out the old-fashioned way."

"Remember those escape pods I detected ? that was from the crew, so how would they secure a crash site without personel ?.  My guess is that the Captain ordered all personel except for command staff to remain behind.  Our job was to scout and get to the crash site before the main marine battalion does to ensure its relatively safe.  How strange that a machine would know more about our purpose then the private that OBVIOUSLY out ranks me." Hk said with relative humour as he played back the most gruesome battles hes been in.
