Raszagal

Raszagal cleared her throat, getting HK47's attention. "Threatening a Starfleet officer is not a good idea, rustbucket."

Dolan was startled at Brown's voice, not noticing him on the Bridge.  He made the suggested adjustments and saw the minefield extended for about a billion kilometers.  He had tactical make the required calculations on how many mines could be destroyed and how many photon torpedoes were needed.  Once ship repairs were complete, the torpedoes were fired and a path was cleared.  The ship moved forward, careful to avoid any other mines.  As they finally pulled clear of the minefield, another shockwave from the Omega molecules hit the ship, almost knocking it back into the minefield.  As they came to approached the system where the Omega molecules were expected to be, the warp field the ship was in destablized and the ship was forced to go on impulse only.

Dar'Nas

Dar'Nas took his engineering team aboard the Heraani scoutship to be studied in detail. The work was slowed because they had to rely on translators to read the langauge.
When they had finished they found that the ships major systms were operational howerever the secondary systems were substandard but would be acceptable. He made that report to his ranking officer

<Crash site>

"Interesting, we are trying to get slightly hint of power back and your worried about a masking field that will take up what power we do have to hide us from sensors?.  Lets concentrate on other things before we concentrate on masking us from sensors.  I need you to get down to engineering and see if we have power at all even a 1% power is better then nothing at all." Simon ordered Oliver as he tried to look after the Admiral while at the same time tending to himself.

((When did the marines get a cybernetic Corp?))

<Then Simon relieved command of the bridge to an unexpecting ensign that was passing threw, then headed for the conference room, after a few minutes, Simon entered the room and took a seat next to his old friend, Admiral Yates>

"So whats going on, Admiral?" Simon asked questioningly, knowing it had something to do with the Omega partical in some way.

After leaving the briefing. Tom ran the sensor sweep as he had planned, and confirmed the computer's readings as to the location of the Omega Molecule exactly. At least they had put some decent sensor systems in the Lothlorien.

As the ship shook, Tom quietly regained his posture, redirecting power to ensure the efficiency of the ship's systems. Dolan seemed to work efficiently, and saw him order the DC teams to the damaged areas. A competent crew, as well as systems, then.

"Mr. Richards?" Aariya said quietly, walking up to the man. "The Captain would like to see you in his Ready Room."

"Aye." was all Tom said, as he nodded and moved away, allowing the relief officer to take his post.

Stepping into the ready room, Tom stood straight as the door hissed shut behind him. "Sir."

Dolan raised an eyebrow, confused.

"I don't really see how that would work, especially since no one here has a coin and the lack of gravity would result in the coin never landing.  And how would flipping a coin help us?"

"Agreed, Admiral.  However, I think Dolan should be part of the team to learn about one of the most destructive forces that could end all life in the universe." Simon added.

HK47

<HK jumped down from the ledge and drove both arm blades threw 2 of the heraan soldiers heads as they fell in a lifeless heap on the ground.  Quickly drawing the blood dripping blades from their heads, slashed downward on a Heraan who was attempting to rush by him and opened up his chest as he fell.  Twirling his blades at head level quickly decapitated 2 more.  Seeing the Heraan hesitate to charge forward despite the Heraan captain's urging them forward, HK switched his weapons to twin micro gattling guns protruding from his arm where hands should be and started to fire into their ranks before rolling back and knelt along the side of several marines who were still firing their weapons as if their lives depended on it and it indeed did>

"Your assistance is required in...well, engineering, I'm guessing this room is."

=/\= Dolan out. =/\=

Raszagal arrived rather quickly and started helping Dolan with translating Heraan.  They began with a type of table of contents, which revealed some interesting information, including a device onboard that could track most of the Heraani capital ships in real time using, from what Dolan could tell, a network of small relays throughout the quadrant.  Unfortunately, it had massive power requirements, which explained why it would be in storage.  Titles mentioning training scenarios, war simulations, battle strategies and plans, and other tactical information was worth notice also.

However, after taking some time with the first translations and with hundreds of files to decode, Dolan soon said to Raszagal, "Perhaps a translating program would be more efficient than manual translation.  Do you have any experience with creating such a program?"

"Well, it's Heraan for one." He said, jokingly. More seriously, he said; "It's database has a huge amount of information. Terrabyte after Terrabyte of the stuff. Some of the crew may have accessed parts of it before I could lock it all. There's information on species in the galaxy older than humans, Sir. My guess is the Heraan have been around a lot longer than I thought, or they have been given some of the knowledge of the Najigat."

"This ship doesn't have any special purpose other than to try and wipe the annoyance called the Federation off the face of the Galaxy. That would lead to suggest that this is the more standard end of their knowledge, and that larger facilities dedicated to information would have more. That's just a guess though."

Dolan glanced questioningly at Sayuri, who seemed to know more than she was letting on, before turning to Rajnus.

"I agree with Lt. Sayuri, it resembles the ancient Greek letter Omega and is used in a variety of ways, though mainly for mathmatical and scientific purposes.  I don't really see how it concerns the ship though."

Tom simply nodded at the Director, as the klaxons began wailing a red alert. As the Captain moved out of his ready room onto the Bridge, Tom silently moved towards the operations console, and began accessing functions. His station was secluded enough so that non of the other bridge officers could see what he was doing without standing next to him.

He began running a few programs he developed in his early years. They were a few of the programs he used whenever he hacked a system, though he never used the same on constantly, else a block would be developed for it. He had about ten different programs that he alternated between with each time he hacked a system, and this time he used his Echo set.

His screen showed the addresses of each of the consoles on the entire ship, and some parameters Tom had built into his program - ways of narrowing his search. He first selected consoles only on the bridge. He then cross-referenced which consoles were designated for each department, and then who was logged onto them, quickly finding the one he wanted. Console #452345-009, User: Dolan, William, Department: Science.

He soon accessed the system without any notifications appearing on any screen, anywhere, and without even any logs in the computer cores. He set his program to copy every shred of data that passed through the Lieutenant's terminal, and display it on a small section in the bottom-left of his own screen, and send copies to three separate storage locations in his quarters, and again to another data store he had hidden in an area of the ship previously. Sure, he might be paranoid, but it might save his life one day.

Double-checking that the computer cores had no evidence of his hack, he began running his scans on the Heraani vessels.

"Operations; ready." he stated, in reply to the Captain's call for reports. He began analysing the readings he was getting from the various vessels, and thought he would comment on Lieutenant Brown's idea.

"We can modulate the phasers to fire two bursts, one timed precisely after the other, and at different power ratings. The first can be programmed to overload their shields, and the second to disable and/or destroy any part of the ship in our line of fire. The ships can either be destroyed, or disabled ready for capture."

He then transferred the calibration data to the Tactical Console, ready for the tactical officer to enter in if the Captain took up on his suggestion. His hack tool confirmed they arrived at the console.

"As for the larger vessel, it seems to have multiple shield generators. If one is overloaded, then it will only leave us a minute gap, and precision manoeuvring would be needed to be able to his a critical point in the vessel through the points where the shields would have a gap. If, however, we overload two generators simultaneously, then a larger gap would be created, and a better shot would be opened."

Balkazar

<Upon hearing the possibilities of crashing the ship Balkazar turned to Richerds>

"Richerds, get the troops up and going, the minute that we enter the atmosphere of the planet, transport the half the marine battalion to the planet surface, we will take Puma's with us, then I want you to take the medics with us just in case the Admiral and Captain start a cat fight over whos in charge and they REALLY! end up crashing the ship.  GO!" Balkazar ordered.
