Mission 5 "The Great Blue Yonder"

[Simon Rajnus]

<Quickly the Admiral moved to the XO chair, Simon took his seat and grabbed onto his arm rest to stable himself as the ship shuttered under the fire of the heerani cruiser>

"Do it, Brown.  Richards send repair teams to assist the nanites I put into the ship.  Transfer power from non essential systems to the shields." Simon ordered as sparks flew all around the ship.  "I want that vessel disabled, NOW!" Simon shouted.

"Scan the area for any asteroids or a nebula, SOMETHING!, as cant hold on to a full out attack by a carrier that could have endless amount of fighters at their beck and call." Simon roared out over the noise.

[Balkazar]

"Im not sure, Dolan.  Get over here." Balkazar called over to Dolan.  "Moore get Dolan here armored up and give him a type 4 phaser rifle from the Starfleet locker's." Balkazar ordered.

"Alright, Lets get to the surface and figure things out first.  We will be transported quickly so make sure everyone is set.  So they will drop shields and in a split second we will transport down so they can reactivate their shields and once down their we will figure things out from their." Balkazar said as he rushed over and grabbed his rifle from the Puma.

"ALRIGHT MARINES! time for some action.  Standard parameter up and get to your positions." Balkazar yelled out.

<Once his men got to their places the shields of the Lothlorien dropped and the marines were transported along with their gear and vehicles to the surface with relative ease despite the fact it felt a little rough>

<Overhead Balkazar noticed that the Lothlorien took more damage then originally expected and dropping shields made it worse as they sped towards the planet surface>

"Recon teams, GO.  Half the marine battalion with me the other half with the General, split up the power armor teams 10 with the general the rest with me.  Lobo, HK47, Raszagal you 3 take point.  Moore, Richerds, Eastwood with me.  MOVE!" Balkazar ordered.

<Then the marines scrambled to load up the Puma's and Pelicans with marines>

Sir, the Planet is playing Havoc on the Sheilds, we got 55 Minites till Sheild Collapes, the Fighters are Starting to Close in Behind the Phaser Arrays, we got to Be quick this far inside an Planets Atomspher.

Her expression didn't change. She had expected better from him; testing her in this manner was hardly wise. She knew full well that he was prodding her for a reaction, and she had absolutely no intention of giving him one. With that said, here is where we differ: I can't be bought, regardless of the price. And if that wasn't the case, Captain, you and I wouldn't be having this charming conversation."

Casts him an amused look, and says sarcastically, "Why sir, you've guessed my deep dark secret. How'd you know?"

He looks around.

"Actually.....no. Strictly regulations sir."

Tom sat down calmly and silently, his face blank. "What would you like to know, Captain?" he asked.

Dolan turned to the wreck of the Lothlorien.

He said to Balkazar, "Pity...it was such a wonderful ship...you know, I overheard some of the crew saying something about a Titan-class ship most likely replacing the Lothlorien as Expansion Fleet's marine transport.  They reasoned that the fleet needs a ship that could carry a couple battlalions of marines without breaking a sweat, unlike the Lothlorien, which, according to its specs, could only carry half a battalion if pushed."

Dolan glanced at Balkazar to gauge his reaction before continuing, "Also overheard something about a refit needed for Avalon Station soon and it being overdue for one.  From what I recall, the station couldn't fire quantum torpedoes and has the old type XII phaser banks, which were made obsolete by the type XIII I heard were recently created by Starfleet."

A marine - Lieutenant Colonel, Dolan believed - approached Dolan and Balkazar and reported, "The Heraan ship - Swift Retribution I believe it is called - has been cleared of Heraan presense and is taking on all marine and Starfleet personnel now.  Everyone still in the Lothlorien is being evacuated, along with everyone else on the planet.  Orders from Admiral Yates, before he fell unconscious again.  Follow me."  He beckoned and Dolan and Balkazar followed him to the Swift Retribution.

As the group headed to the ship, the marine spoke again, "I believe, as part of the Prime Directive, we will have to destroy or take the remains of the Lothlorien with us.  Am I not correct, Colonel?"

*Richard Entered a Few Commands into his Station*

Long Range Looks like is Distroyed, buts needs to Be confirmed as the Computer is saying its there and it is'nt. Interal Sensors Decks 1 to 6 only the rest of the arrays are blown. Also I can Assess the Passave Sensors range 1.2 KMs, the Rest is an Mess> As a Lot of the Computers are not responding. Most of the Primary ODN Links are Dammaged, in order to get an Exact reading we need to Run an Bypass to get more Responce from the Computer to know for sure.

"Alright, all of you get to your stations and arm yourselves for full battle readiness.  Because I have a feeling that we will not be the only ones who are going to get to the Omega partical.  We have to get to it first before anyone else.  General, assemble your team.  Aariya im sure you know how to handle a phaser.  As of now all security personel are on high alert.  Prepare for battle and arm all crew personel.  Inform the marines of the change of plans.  Only tell Col. Balkazar of this latest development, and only him.  We are going to Red alert.  Your all dismissed.  Aariya I wish to see you in my ready room." Simon said as he left the breifing room and headed for his ready room to look over Aariya's file.

"Alright thats enough!" Rajnus breathed heavily as their was not alot of air left.  "Whats the status o....o.....o......on, the......" was all he could say before he had to sit down unable to think straight.

<Simon was feeling better for some reason, his wounds healed faster then he had expected.  He then got up and started to walk around the Heraan ship with a hobble escorted by 2 security officers.  He soon was standing near what appeared to be the airlock but it was obvious since marine and starfleet alike were running around carrying gear everywhere and it was the most active entry point, he stood their taking in the veiw and the fresh air>

<HK followed and soon were confronted by Captain Rajnus>

"The rest of the Battalion are close behind." HK said.  "Im going to recon the area and see what we can do about defense meatbags." HK said as he turned and moved out of the ship to look around.

<HK had left the ship and did a quick recon of the area.  He found a few places that could be used for firing teams, but quickly made additional places for cover.  HK blasted several fox holes in strategic places around the ship and started to camoflage them while at the same time allowing the marines to fire out of them with lil difficulties.  Then he blasted several trees down in hopes they slowed down the heraan soldiers>
