Mission 5 "The Great Blue Yonder"

[Voyager]

Dolan was a little startled at how soon they were all transported.  He got on the same vehicle as General Powell.  He felt uncomfortable in the marine armor, but supposed if it helped him survive, he could live with it.  He carried his rifle a little awkwardly as he took out his personal tricorder, which was a standard tricorder but with a few additions Dolan made himself.

"General, several of the fighters are coming after us!"  Several nearby plasma bursts proved Dolan correct and Dolan grimaced as the vehicle shook after almost being hit.

Dolan then glanced at his tricorder again before quietly saying to Powell, "I think the Omega is in a research complex several kilometers ahead of us.  It seems somewhat lightly guarded, so they probably don't know the magnitude or the consequenses of what they are doing.  We might have to seize the Omega by force.  Do you have any idea on how we then destroy the molecule?"

((OOC: Are we planning to get the Lothlorien destroyed here?))

[Raszagal]

Raszagal smiled the most fake smile imaginable.

"Then let me rephrase my statement," she said, dropping the smile icily. "Threatening, intimidating, disemboweling, or otherwise harming or negatively confronting a Starfleet officer is a very bad idea."

[Balkazar]

<Balkazar still continued to sleep>

[Simon Rajnus]

<Ready room>

"I like to get to know my crew and I want to know something about you that no one else knows." Simon asked probingly.

[Balkazar]

"Good, now if their isnt anything else, I would really like to get back to Dantor in one peice.  Get this ship going." Balkazar said as he left the room.

[Voyager]

Dolan was startled at the announcement, but got ready nevertheless.  He shut down his holoprogram with his experimental phaser design.  He made a note to include a few more heat sinks or to improve the ones already there to increase phaser firing rates.  He then left the holodeck for the bridge.

On his way to the bridge, he wondered what high priority mission the crew would be going on and hoped that it didn't include combat.  From the schematics of the New Orleans class he had seen, they were multi-purpose vessels that had pods that could be filled with the supplies appropriate for the mission.  However, it wasn't especially suited to be a combat vessel though it would be able to hold out on its own for a while.

Shortly after leaving the holodeck, Dolan arrived at the bridge and approached Admiral Yates and General Powell before saluting.

"Ensign Dolan, Chief Science Officer and temporary Chief Engineer of the USS Lothlorien."

[John Moore]

John floored the accelerator on the Elongated Puma APC, speeding towards one of the downed lifepods. Calling back to the marine in the rear turret, he said; "Keep an eye on the sky, Corporal! We're going to pick up as many as these babies can hold and take them back to the Lothlorien! And I don't want any of them harmed by enemy fire, understood?"

"Sir, yes Sir!"

As they reached the first life pod, they found four crewmen - three engineers and a security officer, all holding Type IIs, though the security officer the only one holding it confidently.

Moore  skidded the Puma to a halt, and opened the hatch for them to get in, before moving off with the other two APCs driven by his men.


((Still not entirely certain what equipment the marines would have other than what's loosely mentioned, but I'm assuming we'll have some sort of APC variation of the Puma, as everyone needs a way to get a lot of people around quickly, and aircraft aren't always the best way at doing that.))

[Quinn]

((I love how I was the first to step on to the ship(Other Character) and one of the last ones on :P))

After a while of sitting with his back to his console Quinn felt that he could probably walk a bit. He lifted himself up to his feet just when Richard came back. It was hard to listen when all he could hear was pain screaming in his head.

"This ship is dead, maybe we could set the warhead and leave the Heerani a little surprise when they come here to find us," He said, knowing that would mean the complete destruction of The Lorthlorien, but she's obviously beyond repair and if it's going to die it might as well take a group of bastards with it.

[HK47]

<HK came walking onto the bridge and noticed everyone huddled around 2 higher ranking meatbags>

"General Meatbag, its a pleasure." HK said with a computerized voice.  "Im here to assist Col Balkazar who sooooo requested my unique assistent skills." HK finished.

[Raszagal]

"I might be able to project their thoughts to you, making them detectable by any telepaths we have, until you feel you can see them yourself."

[Voyager]

"Do we know how many molecules we are dealing with here?" asked Dolan.

[Voyager]

(OOC: I'd like to see that...someone trying to mop carpet...lol.  I thought there was some type of device that did cleaning...I know I saw it in the Voyager episode "Learning Curve" but I forgot the name...I just know it was about the size of a pen and was definately their equivalent of a toothbrush.)

Dolan decided that the people on the bridge knew what they were doing and had several more diagnostics run while he helped with maintenance in Engineering while he waited to be contacted by the people on the bridge.

<Noticing Dolan coming up and heard him what seemed to Balkazar sounded like a mumble, Balkazar turned his attention from the heraan landing zone which was now obviously being pelted with Mortar's, to Dolan>

"Admiral Yates and Captain Rajnus have been seriously wounded and their back at the crash site with the rest of the Starfleet personel.  Im trying to figure out how to get threw to capture the ship and kill any occupants inside.  HK thinks that he can make up a batch of Flesh Eating pathegon to deal with the occupants, or perhaps Nanites programs to only attack Heraani molecular structure, fired from our weapons." Balkazar said contemplating the idea.

[Nathen Keller]

*Nate turned and looked too Rasz.*

"I did not intend to to send them out to meet them I only ment to send them to the fortified positions. I woulnd't send good men to their deaths. I Know better. I am an expert at surviving impossible odds and the Colonel and the General are proof of the impossible odds and challenges I have faced in my lifetime and service. If its one thing I am good at is surviving and tactics. If it werent for me this battalion would not be in existance. The general and i would have passed away on Dantor when it was overran and Balkazar and Comm Ones away party would not have made it off the planet. Enough of that..."

*Nate looked on to the Horizon to discovery the approaching Heeran wave.*

"Its time... everyone take up your posissions. Wait for them to get in range and i will flank them from the behind. Rasz and HK you m ay join me if you would like or you can stay here and help the marines."

*As the marines mobleized to fortitfy the bunkers and foxholes Nate ran along the cliff side overlooking the battleground until he found a sufficant spot to jump down to flank the oncoming wave.*

[Voyager]

(OOC: No one here is a Lieutenaut, as far as I can tell.)

"Well, the few people that are in the Science Department usually carry on by themselves and I have some experience in Engineering, so it isn't too difficult to manage, especially after so many years in the Academy.  I was crazy enough to switch from Engineering to Science back at the Academy when I was only a few months away from finishing the Engineering course.  Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll take my station."

Dolan then took over his station, where he monitored the ship's sensor readings.  He made a note to ask for Rajnus's opinion on his phaser bank design, when they had some free time.
