Mike Powell

*The battle had raged on and in the midst of battle the casualtie were heavey for Powells men and little for the Heeran elite. The techncian shouted out that the doors have opened and Powell turned to see them opening and as he turned back a Heeran commander had glided through the battle silently and had impalled Powell and lifted him slowly and dropped his cloak. Powell had cried out in pain and he grabbed the wrist of the Heeran and glared into his glowing eyes and the Commander stared back with equal hate and he threw the general into the marines. They quickly grabbed him and fell back into the room and sealed the doors before the Heeran could react. Powell sat against a wall as a marine tended is mortal wound. He coughed and spat up blood.*

"Dolan...*He coughs*....here... take this PADD.. it has the instructions on how to destroy the Partical... do what ever is neccessary to rid us of it and keep it from them. Take a couple men and move on. We will stay back and hold thme off for as long as we can...*He coughs another glob of blood and quinchs as he grabs his wound*.. go now!"

*He watchs the yound officer run off and he listens to the pounding of Heeran blades against the blast door.*

Raszagal

Raszagal continued to covertly assassinate the Heraani leadership. Shot after shot, she picked off the most opportune targets. As she honed in to fire the last shot in her current power cell, a large violet hand knocked her across the corridor, and her misfired shot melted a considerable chunk of the ceiling.

A rather large Heraani soldier had backhanded her with all of his might. Despite her psionic power, the large Heraan far outclassed her in physical strength. She struggled to get back up, surely fighting a concussion, and was promptly slammed into the ground as the large hand came down again.

As Raszagal laid beaten on the floor of the ravaged corridor, the Heraan just stood over her, and she could feel his hateful eyes boring into her back. The massive alien reached his three-digit hand and grasped her by the neck, lifting her to eye level.

The brilliant blue eyes of the alien stared straight into her own. "You are pathetic," it spoke directly into her thoughts. "You managed to defeat our commander, which says nothing about you, but volumes about him. I must thank you for proving his incompetence. I hope you've made your peace, Gallifreyan, because your afterlife beckons."

That arrogant statement, combines with the pain of the Heraan's tightening hand around her neck, proved to be her final incentive. She directed all of her rage into a psionic attack, subtle to the outside observer, but torrential in it's true nature. She weaved her way into the weaker mind of the alien, and lashed out in all directions.

The Heraan became aware of this, and unable to defend, squeezed harder, hoping to kill her first. His efforts were in vain, however, as deep purple blood began to make it's way through his violet skin. The brilliant glow of his eyes began to dim, and his grip began to loosen. Suddenly, Raszagal fell from his grip, and crumpled to the ground. The large, armored body of the Heraani soldier followed suit, the weight of his armor causing a slight dent in the wall against which he fell.

Aaron Cloud

Consults his PADD.

"There were only two killed; An Ensign Turner due to a shot straight at his head, and Private Hanson due to a direct blow to his chest. Ten are injured, but only one is life threatening. That would be Lieutenant Davis, she has internal bleeding. The rest are fine; They only have minor bumps and bruises. I suggest we get Ms. Davis to a medical station immediately. The rest, minus Turner and Hanson of course, should be perfectly fine in taking care of themselves. As for Turner and Hanson, we can transport their bodies back, and take care of them accordingly. The only thing left, is for later, that I be given the chance to evaluate each person in time."

Balkazar

=^= "Fine, get your pet project up here and make yourself useful, show me it.  Sense you think you know EVERYTHING! about phasor technology." =^= Balkazar said rather irritated over the comm.

<He just waited their on the hill over looking the Heraan ship waiting for word from the troops he sent in>

Balkazar

<Balkazar came to awake as he heard the security clearance upgraded, he looked around at the forcefields in place and thought to himself for a few minutes then called into action the marines>

"Well, put the charges on either side of the door we have to make it to the armory for the rest of our gear." Balkazar called out orders.

"Moore if your up to it I need you to get a squad together and help figure out whats going on.  This damn computer on this ship is giving me a headache." he ordered.

Raszagal

(OFF: There's three variants of the Puma. One has a phaser turret in the bed of the truck for anti-personnel duties, one has a microtorpedo turret for anti-vehicle, and one has benches to carry six extra marines. All three, of course, have the driver's seat and the front passenger's seat.)

Raszagal parked the Puma momentarily, and then keyed a short command into the multi-function display between the two front seats, and it showed a top-down scan of the surrounding area.

"It looks like there's a small patrol coming through here," she said, pointing. "Too much for us to handle. Let's get closer, and then observe them on foot."

(OFF: For a description and image of all of the standard marine vehicles, see http://www.expansionfleet.com/cgi-bin/fleet/ikonboard.cgi?act=NW;f=270;t=12" target="_blank">here.)

Balkazar

"Dont you know that we get to depend on starfleet to get their heads out of their butts to figure that one out.  We just have to get to the planet ASAP and watch the fire works.  You will be with me, im sure your men have been trained in the fine art of guard duty." Balkazar told Richerds.

~"More like babysitting my friend but you know how General's are.  Once we make landfall we will have to track down the ships remains and secure it.  Once we do that then we can set up a parameter and get what people we can out of the ship."~ Balkazar told Richerds telepathically.

Balkazar

"If he wants to crash land the ship thats his business, General.  We wont be here, we will be on the planet to watch them crash the ship and we will be the ones to rescue them from their predicament.  But its always entertaining to see the Admiral playing captain when hes not.  Whats the deal with him and Simon? it looked like they were going to go at their throats, General." Balkazar said to General Powell.

"Are you going to be joining us on the surface I take it?" Balkazar asked the general.  "We will be requiring a mass wide beam transporter action to transport us all down including our gear to the planet surface in one single motion, then they can use what power is left to assist them in crash landing the ship." Balkazar added.

Simon Rajnus

<Walking over to Cloud he overheard everything but didnt say much about it>

"Cloud, your to report to me when your done fixing up the wounded, not to the Col.  Now I want a medical status report on all Marine and Starfleet officers wounded in this transgression." Rajnus glared at the Lt. Commander.

Voyager

Dolan quickly put on his new rank pip before hurrying after Admiral Yates into the conference room.  He took a seat across the table from Rajnus and turned to the Admiral, waiting for the briefing to begin.

Balkazar

"Good idea, Moore.  Very good idea.  We will use that as well.  But im still curious if the Heraan would be immune to a viral pathegon?" Balkazar asked Raszagal.

"Moore, go and get the telepaths together, then explain the situation." Balkazar ordered.

"Richerd, continue to pound that landing zone down their with everything we have."

"Lobo, I need you to go and tell the marines in the power armor to stand by the fun will begin soon." he said ordering his officers around.

Raszagal

"Engaging gravitic drive," Raszagal stated. The Swift Retribution began to lift from the planet's surface. It's glittering golden hull, dotted with the occasional phaser burn, seemed to swim as the sunlight reflected off of it's glossy surface during it's ascent. Eventually, the cramped ship reached a medium orbit.

"Captain, we are clear of the blast zone," she said calmly.

Voyager

< Research Facility, Underground >

Dolan frantically input commands in the console, with somewhat miraculous accuracy, all things considered.  The doors into the room containing the Omega was now visibly melting and collapsing.  Most of the Omega molecules were destroyed fortunately, but at his current rate, Dolan knew in all likeliness all of them would not be destroyed before the doors finally gave way.  The few marines that were not critically injured or tending to the wounded gathered by the doors, preparing to fire once the doors collapsed, in a desperate bid to give Dolan more time.

The doors then exploded and phaser fire went both ways through the molten opening.  Dolan entered commands ever so much faster, desperation giving him a little more speed.  The Heraan charged into the room.  The marines closest to the door were rapidly dispatched.  As the Heraan made rapid progress, Dolan swung his phaser rifle off his back and began firing.  One Heraan fell, but the others came faster than before.

Suddenly, shimmers appeared throughout the room that Dolan was in and reptilian humanoids wearing unusual looking uniforms materialized.  What struck Dolan the most about them was that they faintly resembled Klingons, especially with their cranial ridges.  The new arrivals opened fire on the Heraan, who suddenly seemed to grow fearful and returned fire.  However, the reptilians seemed to have some sort of armor or shielding, as they absorbed the fire with no apparent damage.  They quickly destroyed the Heraani force and several of them left the room.

Dolan was slightly shocked and awed at the same time.  He hoped the reptilians were friendly and that the few who left the room were going after the remaining Heraan.  He then quickly put all other thoughts aside and turned back to the console.  However, he was stopped by one of the reptilians nearby.

"What do you think you are doing?" asked the reptilian in a grand voice that seemed somehow musical also.

"I am going to finish destroying these molecules," answered Dolan, starting to worry that the reptilians might not be completely friendly.

"So are we," replied the reptilian, to Dolan's immense relief.  He continued, "Our most important protocol mandate the destruction of these specific molecules...our methods are also far more effective and safe."

As the reptilian finished his sentence, another reptilian had stepped next to the containment field and held up a strange looking instrument.  He pressed a few buttons and Dolan watched amazed as all of the Omega molecules pulled apart instantaneously and became a number protons, neutrons and electrons.  They then reformed into water molecules.

The reptilian then said, "Our mission is complete.  We must now go."

"But I have so many questions!  Who are you?  Where are you from?  How-"

"Our second most important protocol is to not contact other civilizations that have not yet achieved intergalactic travel on a large scale.  The molecule destruction protocol is the only one that allows for this second one to be breached.  However, the Heraan are we have previously encountered and are hostile to us.  Attacking them first is bending the rules to the limit though.  We will now be leaving."  The reptilian finished his last sentence with a finality that ended the conversation.  All of the reptilians were then covered with the same shimmers that brought them into the facility and they disappeared.

Dolan breathed a sigh of disappointment.  He then gathered his fallen equipment and swung his phaser rifle over his back again.  He helped the marines tend to the wounds and had everyone move out as soon as everyone was ready.  The critically injured were slowly carried to the few Pumas and Pelicans that were still standing.  Everyone was piled in and the vehicles moved rapidly to the location of the Lothlorien crash site.

HK47

<Scout Group>

"Yeah, well Private Meatbag im reading 6 heraan's up ahead.  They are trying to lay an ambush, how quaint.  I suppose the Heraan's have already landed." HK47 said with much pleasure at the thought of decapitating a few Heraan's.
