After receiving rerouting instructions from Dantor's traffic control center, the Gallifreyan scoutship Ascendant Justice banked toward the rear hatch of the Lothlorien's landing bay. Executing a flawless entry and slowly penetrating the bay's force field, the scoutship, barely larger than a Delta-class shuttle, came to a rest on the deck. A small hatch opened and two figures exited. One, a robed male, and the other, a shapely female in a clearly alien jumpsuit.

Both of them silently left their shuttle and left the docking bay in search of Colonel Balkazar.

"He wont kill us, he needs us." John said as they both left the mess hall and went to the Armory.

<In the Armory, weapons lined the walls and spare suits of combat armor lined the other.  Assault rifles, hand phasers, grenades were just a few of the weapons that was in here>

"Alright, you got your phaser, thats good.  Now, as a field medic its usually a good idea to keep your medic pack filled just in case you have to grab it on your way out.  So before and after every mission its wise to refill what you used before hand.  Suits of armor are over their, once you pick our your armor its yours for life or until its destroyed in which case youll need to pick out a new one.  Now, As a Medic we usually dont carry around large guns, usually hand phasers and assault rifles and maybe 2 or 3 power cells just incase the rifles run out of power.  I usually pack atleast 6 just incase someone else needs an extra power cell and their out.  Being prepared will usually save your life.  Make sure you have your combat knife or 2 with you at all times even when off duty because you never know when you have to play security officer or break up a mob or the like which is why we are armed with phasers and 2 combat knives at all times.  Now the Rifle, its not a toy.  It has the whole kill and stun settings just like a phaser, the rifle has rapid shot and normal shot.  All Rifles are set for Rapid unless we are sniping and we are stuck with the assault rifle only rather then the sniper rifles.  Alright, the Grenades carry atleast 4 frag, 4 stun, and 4 sonic.  Thats the basic equipment we carry, Medics usually carry more on top of their normal set of medical gear.  Sometimes you can get some privates to haul the extra gear but most of the time you have to carry it yourself.  Any questions?" John explained.

John Moore

~"What the hell is going on?"~ John thought to himself as he headed to the Marine quarters, his gear securely stowed in the armoury. ~"First they get us all packed up like sardines in that flyer, and then tell us to scrub the mission?~

~"I have no idea what's going on, to be honest with you. What are 'sardines'?"~

John stopped dead as he heard the other voice in his head. He was used to telepathic links from growing up on Betazed, but this intrusion had non of the tell-tale signs he had come to associate with a telepathic link.

~"Who are you?"~

~"Oh, you heard that? You're stronger than I thought. Not many people have the mindpower to be able to hear us."~

~"I'm Betazoid, a telepathic. Who are you?"~

~"All will be explained in time. Now, what are sardines?"~

The conversation carried on all the way to the Marine quarters to see the Colonel.

Balkazar

"I understand full well.  But trust me, Raszagal.  You and HK may have more in common then you think.  But anyways, sense you 2 have met, I expect you both to follow Lobo's orders and mine." Balkazar said as he slung his rifle from shoulder to waist on his back.

***Ready Room***
"I understand what you a saying Colonel

*The Captain walks around and looks out of his window*

"I've a plan....I won't risk any more men on this ship, which includes Marine-personnel. We'll set course for Dantor station and leave all personnel except the Senior staff and a couple of marines at the station. After that we'll return to the last know coördinations of the Iroquois and use the Generator."

*Takes his seat again*

"You and your men will be able to get some rest this way Colonel, but I do need something security-forces on board. I can ask Major General Wanner to send some fresh marines."

"I do want to say that I most grateful for your job here Colonel. Please see to it that this message is passed along to your men. They are the most honorable people I've ever met. Thank you"

"Ensign Dolan, do you think you can pull it of?"

Today, you people are no longer maggots. Today, you are Marines. You're part of a brotherhood. From now on until the day you die, wherever you are, every Marine is your brother. Most of you will go to Vietnam. Some of you will not come back. But always remember this: Marines die. That's what were here for. But the Marine Corp lives forever. And that means YOU live forever.

"You name it Ive done it Sir" grabs his trash and starts gearing up following the Colonel.  "Ive got extensive hand to hand combat training, rifle and phaser training, communication, artillery, if it shoots, Ive shot it, if there's a way to fight with it, Ive done it.  Just tell me what you want and consider it done Colonel."

Dolan managed to get up and ignored a few minor cuts all over his body.

"Thank you Lieutenant Lobo.  I guess I owe my life to you."  Dolan was a little shaken, but pulled himself together.  He went to another panel that was nearby.

"Shoot.  There are hundreds of rogue experiments running amok the station.  There must have been a serious system's failure to cause all of these experiments to escape."  Dolan then noticed the sensors, which seem to have been upgraded to compensate for the nebula's strange effects.  He looked at the most recent scans and swore.  "There are two Romulan ships approaching the station and have begun to charge weapons.  I don't think the Romulans would like to know what's been going on at this station."  Dolan looked at the map of the station and saw the bridge was just down the corridor.

"Lieutenant, I think we should head to the bridge of the station, it's just down the corridor.  We might be able to help defend the station from the Romulans from there and if we're lucky, find a way to stop these monstrosities."
