"I agree," the captain said, walking to the operations console. "Mr. Beta, I hereby instate you fully into the crew of the U.S.S. Rivendell as the chief tactical officer, and grant you the rank of Ensign, with all of the rights and responsibilities thereto. I will send a message to your Academy professors immediately that your apprenticeship has ended."

Givrillian Sarpedon

Sarpedon had been trying to fight the Borg's tractor beam since they had managed to catch the ship, despite his best efforts at evasive manoeuvres. He was fighting with the ship now, trying to keep the impulse engines at maximum against the pull of the tractor beam, but the systems were starting to fry from the exertion. His efforts though, were at best a delaying tactic, as they would slowly and inevitably be pulled towards the Borg vessel.

"All stop. Commander, get a more detailed scan of the area. I'd like to know where the distress signal is coming from, and what might have prompted it."

OOC: Now I don't much like the retconned BSG, but there are points of it I do like, this is one of them. This is an atmospheric jump, but it gives you some idea at what I am looking for in the Jump Drive.

Sorry Taurik, you've got some cleaning up to do, but I do want this right and with real Science, despite the retconned BSG being mostly felgercarb it does have real science in it, although no thanks to RDM for it.

Holographic Officer Beta

Beta's face beamed even more than it had before, and he grasped hold of the Captain's hand and shook it vigourously. "Thank you Captain! Thank you!" his 'mind' vaguely recognised that it was a bad time to be....intoxicated, he believed the word was, but he couldn't help himself.

T'lana continued to scan as well,

"Aye Captain, as you will Commander. Captain I believe I know why she is in Stasis, she has an injury on her forehead indicative of some form of blunt trauma. As there is blood on the right side of the canopy, but there is no sign of attack, I would suggest that the injury occurred during some other form of kinetic event."

T'lana

OOC: And your problem is? I can't believe I have to explain this, but the TARDIS was the name of a Gallifreyan vessel, nothing more, nothing less.

As for a Jedi, it is a big universe. What you think Expansion Fleet is Star Trek Canon, funny I didn't see Expansion Fleet mentioned in any of the series. There also happens to be Lightsaber(Khala) wielding Gallifreyans, they are not in Star Trek Canon either.

There are also Droids, Loxians, Heraani and various other characters that are not in Star Trek canon.

STAR WARS is set in another Galaxy, in this case and is also a proposed location of the Galaxy far far away, as ANDROMEDA.

Gene Roddenberry once said, "Science Fiction is only fiction, until it becomes fact."

STAR TREK exists not to show how wonderful humans can be, or to have space battles with humanoid beings, or Beings of Light. It exists to show that the Vulcan IDIC is absolutely correct.

IDIC stands for: Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations.

There is an old saying: "Anything is Possible." I suggest you remember that, above all else.

Givrillian Sarpedon

"Aye. Attack pattern Delta engaged." Sarpedon reported. Luckily, it was one of the attack patterns he actually remembered from the Academy. Making a mental note to revise some of the tactical elements of basic training when this was over with, Sarpedon sent a text-only message to Orpheus:

-To: AI "Orpheus"-

Keep an eye on me here please, Orpheus. I'm not a trained tactical officer.

Taurik

Once they reached the science lab, Taurik stepped over to a console and entered his Starfleet security authorization, and the console granted him access. "Since the base's capture," he said, "Starfleet computer analysts have broken all of the Heraani encryption schemes, and have integrated their databanks into our own."

The captain began perusing the translated Heraani databanks, finding several articles to be poorly translated. He was relieved to find that the original data files were also present, still displayed in their native Heraan. Luckily, as a member of the Gallifreyan Order, he was able to read Heraan somewhat fluently.

However, he was interrupted by Chaya. "What?" he said. "Can you locate them?"

OOC: Cool! http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

IC: T'lana exited the conference room with the rest of the staff and sat in the Command Chair, logging in as acting Captain, when Orpheus reported and displayed the communication from the USS Marathon of Battle Group Thirteen.

"Open a channel to the Battle Group." Ordered T'lana. "Aye ma'am, channel open." stated the communications officer.

"The assistance is appreciated Captain Ramirez. The first thing is to appropriate a Transwarp Node from the Borg Sphere, which our chief engineer will install and analyze, once done so we will transmit the specifications to the fleet for installation. The USS Rivendell, will remain in place, as long as the shields can be maintained in order to beam a small contingent over to the Borg Sphere, to tag one of it's nodes. You and the rest of the Battle Group Thirteen will attempt to disable or at least distract the Borg Sphere, on my command."

"Mr. Sarpedon, prepare to lower the shields for transport."

(OFF: Okay, let's assume we jumped as we should have, and I'll delete my probe comment. Continue as normal.)

The Rivendell drops out of hyperspace exactly 3.26 seconds after the jump, and the automatic retro-thrusters bring the ship to a halt.

T'lana

Before Taurik left, T'lana stated matter-of-factly.

"Actually Captain, that is the final data, what I was attempting to do here, was to run simulations to see if we could achieve Slipstream without the Biomechanical Computer system, and without the need to replace the Warp Core. It appears that that is not the case, in order to achieve a stable subspace vortex."
