Mission 12: "When It Rains..."

[Taurik]

"I imagine the doctor would expect no less. You have the bridge once more, Commander."

Taurik got up from his seat, and left the bridge for the sickbay to get a checkup.

[Taurik]

"Indeed. She seems to possess some form of telepathy. When she first awoke, I tried to probe her mind and show her our intentions, but her mind was blocked. It pleases me to see that she meant no harm."

[Chaya Sar]

Not quite as dizzy as the last time she was transportered, Chaya asked, confused.

"What are they?"

[Givrillian Sarpedon]

"Aye." Sarpedon replied, as he worked the ships drives to manoeuvre them into position. As the ship came to a stop, the docking clamps gripped the ship in an iron fist, and the ship was, in relation to the station, absolutely still. Sarpedon made sure all the drives were shut down, and altered the ship's condition status. The various indicators throughout the ship changed colour, and displayed "Condition Blue" - the ship was now in stand-by mode.

"Docking procedures completed." he reported

[Morgan Freeman]

Morgan knew that the computer was making progress on the language but still needed a little guidance.  Using the root syntax of the language and the simple words the computer already knew he programmed in a new algorithm.  Turning to the visitor "Can you understand what I am saying?"

[Taurik]

"Very well," came Taurik's reply. "I will be there soon."

A few minutes passed, and Captain Taurik came through the double-wide doors to Engineering, and saw T'lana at one of the ancillary wall consoles, turning toward an ensign.

"I believe you summoned me, Commander?" he said.

[T'lana]

T'lana was confused as to what they were actually doing and going to do now.

"Your orders Captain?"

[Taurik]

Taurik removed the rank pin from it's box, as well as the old rank pin from Sarpedon's uniform, and then pinned the CPO pin to the red collar of his uniform.

After moving the old pin and box off to the side, Taurik retrieved the second case. "Ensign Beta. You have displayed a devotion to this crew, and to me personally, that is undeniable. You have put yourself at risk in lieu of another several times, and have performed your duties far beyond that which is expected. Your single-handed capture of the Borg transwarp coil, while against the orders of your commanding officer, was heroic, to say the least, and I personally appreciate it immensely. It is for these reasons that I hereby grant you the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, and award you the Christopher Pike Medal of Valor."

Taurik opened the box and displayed the black rank pin, and the larger, blueish medal.

<Heraani Space Station - Hera System>

~"Yes master, I will try to find her.  There seems to be a great disturbance here preventing me from focusing on people inside the base.  I shall keep attempting to contact her."~

[Larial]

Larial couldn't stay in her creator's quarters anymore, so after recharging her power supply she made her way to engineering, not wanting to be alone anymore.

"Hello father, can I do anything to help?" Larial asked.

[T'lana]

"I see no problems with that, just be cautious." T'lana felt a slight electric shock go through her body. It was obvious to her now that the nanites were indeed malfunctioning and that meant her life was in danger, how long, was unknown and all this was just guessing anyway.

[Morgan Freeman]

"Perhaps your right my friend, It would appear that would should only worry about what is in the realm of our influence.  You will be proud to know that my engineering crew defended themselves very well against the Borg."  Morgan sipped on his root beer, it was stupid to be addicted to the drink but he loved it.

[Morgan Freeman]

"Hold on one second commander, I want to run a few scans of the vessel for explosives or other traps that may go off."   Morgan holds his modified tricorder to the vessel and begins his scan.

[Morgan Freeman]

Morgan speaks up from the engineering console "Captain, it would appear that this craft has an incredible mass to energy ratio.  I am not reading any conventional deflector or shield grid.  I also can't seem to find an onboard computer system."

[Holographic Officer Beta]

"Yes Ma'am." Beta said, as he left the Bridge. As a young tactical officer replaced him at his terminal, Beta stepped into the Turbolift, and descended towards Engineering to find someone to speak to about the repairs.
