U.S.S. Evolution Mission 6: Exploring Delta Alliance space

[Taurik]

Taurik sees that a Type-8 shuttle is missing and Commander Vurak has not been seen for hours.

"Computer, locate Lieutenant Commander Vurak Spock."

Computer: "Commander Vurak is not onboard the Evolution."

Taurik exits the shuttle and walks out of the shuttlebay, noticing the puzzled looks on the security officers' faces.

[Dalon]

Sir, since the journey was not instantaneous, it is logical to assume that we are still travelling at a finite speed. The indication of warp ten is simply a statement of the inability of the computer to state our true speed.

*looks at his console*

Sir, the navigational sensors' readings indicate that we are comming out of null space now. Our mass is increasing rapidly.

*turns to the Captain*

Sir, I would expect the inertial dampeners to suffer a great amount of stress due to all this mass change. Perhaps they should be checked with a deeper diagnostic, since this is a new situation.

*looks at his console again*

Sir, we are back in normal space.

*the viewscreen shows a view of the rear of the ship. the null space tunnel closes behind them*

[Taurik]

"We are nearest to Main Engineering, so it would be logical to begin there."

(OFF: Shouldn't the new Rivendell forum be called 'U.S.S. Rivendell - NCC-96218-B'?

[Randall Sanchez]

"Ahh..."
*Sanchez sighs.*
"I have postponed this long enough, but I can't lock up Mr. Taurik aboard this ship, and he deserves this promotion very much. We'll have to let him depart from this ship sooner or later. I just hope that Starfleet will send an equally good officer in his stead. Commander Brooks, check if the ship is ready for departure. And when Taurik has finished with his tour, we'll set course back to Avalon Station... or in fact, use the null-space catapult for a part of the voyage, if we're allowed to."

[keilah]

The Doctor turns around and sees another patient waiting for him.

"Welcome Mr Willard, I suppose you are here for a check-up as well. Please take a seat on that biobed" Keilah pointed at the one at the far end of sickbay

Ensign: "Firing, sir!"

Multiple vollies of torpedoes and phaser beams streak toward the wave, causing little or no damage.

Ensign: "No discernable affect, Commander!"

Taurik: "Keep trying! Any suggestions?"

The Doctor steps out of the turbolift and takes a look at the viewscreen. He could see a Cloud, made out of light, energy perhaps? Keilah was amazed and was staring at the viewscreen for several seconds.

"Commander, where am I looking at? That isn't our warpcore is it? I heared something about an ejection and the first thing I see is an amazing cloud of light. That isn't a sight you see every day! But can I be of servive in this time of crisis?"

Ensign: Commander...Sensors indicate a missing shuttle that has departed in the last twelve hours. Not all crew have been accounted for. Commander.

In another part of the story. Dr. Keliah quickly checks on Lt. Commander Vurak Spock quatrers for he has not found him there and not on bridge. He looks on the viewscreen and sees a bright spot coming to view.

Ensign: Commander. A bright spot is featured on the viewscreen going at a rapid rate.

In another part of the universe.

Vurak attempts a telepathic link with the creature in a ship in a shuttle that was taken from the evolution.
"I am energy. I am full of energy. Hunger protrudes
you. I offer myself. Sacrifice to feed you. You want me. Come to me and feast in delightful bliss. I am willing."

As he prepared for his final voyage. He prapare for the worst. All powers to maximum. He increase his powers to his maximum. For the love of my crew.

Taurik follows VA1 into the Armoury.

"Feel free to look at or test anything you want. There is a training holodeck at the far side of the room. However, I must ask you not to scan anything. Starfleet policy prohibits us from giving away tactical information unless it is vital to our mission."

[Vurak Spock]

Well. Dr. Keliah. Then let me make the necessary repairs to get your sick bay operational. Currently, I am doing a diagnostics on the sickbay to fix the critical areas first. And as soon as you are done Lt. Hayes. You are to help me get the sickbay operational. And Fear not, Dr. Keliah. Rest is furthest from my mind. It IS critical for our lives DO depend on this place. My dear doctor. Do not worry about me. Let me re ITERATE. I have assignments for your ensigns like clean detail so you can go do the necessary work that is needed for yourself. By the way, It's your lunch break. Take one. "What you are looking at, Mr. Keilah, is an energy-hungry cloud entity  feeding off our backup warp core. It is very possible that the same cloud will soon destroy this vessel."

[Palleon Chastin]

"Your not condeming me to my death!  Im volunteering!"  But Taurik was already gone.  
The Lieutenant swallowed his anger and outrage and being sentenced to die like a coward on the back of a turtle.  
Sitting back down in his chair, he switched the ships navigational systems to manual control.  "Orders, Sir?" he asked the Doctor unenthusiasticly.  

[Dalon]

*Dalon presses some commands and the catapult can be seen fully in the viewscreen*
