Well. Captain. Rank to me is of no consequence to be honest. I would have no problem working for you or the crew no matter what rank I am. I am honored. Thank you graciously.  Are you SURE that you wish to grant me this honor for the short time I was here. I don't believe that I have done enough work or worked enough hours in a day to make it worth it with you and the crew. It's not fair for the other members who have worked even harder than I. It seems to me illogical. I will work dutifully and with great stride to fully fulfill my duty for my crew and to you Captain. I feel ill-suited at this time to take it....................................
