USS Skytoucher - Mission 4 : The Loxian Peace Treaty

[Loxians]

Zentox follows Robinson into the turbolift heading to the quarters assigned to him.

"Mr. Robinson, I never had a chance to thank you for all your help. In name of my people, we are very grateful to you and are in your depth.
If one day we can make our homeworld Loxius a free place for everyone again, then I vow to you right now that a statue of you will be placed right next to the statue we shall place in the Great Temple of the Goddess Tazay."
Zentox smiled.
"Imagine it... a huge, magnificent temple... now neglected by the corrupted government, being fully restored, and in the middle a huge statue in stone, with the text: 'Burma The Messiah, who delivered our people from the suppression'. And next to it, your statue with the text:  'Robinson The Strong, the faithful companion of Burma, who helped our people to win back their freedom'. Ah I can see it before me, it will be magnificent!"

[Loxians]

"Commander, I cannot express how sorry I am for dragging you into this situation. If it were not for us, you would not be surrounded by those Loxian government ships now. I am willing to surrender my life to them, if they agree to let my other people go, and allow you to leave in peace. It is me they want, because they know I am their leader. They intend to hit us at the heart, by taking our leaders."

[Seldana Zax]

Sel stands to the right of her med console on the Bridge, her hands raised.  Meanwhile, her symb "flashes" a few possibly helpful scenarios into her mind.  

One scenario actually "sticks".  

Speaking in Trillese, which Sel *hopes* the intruders don't understand, Sel addresses USS Skytoucher's ship computer: "Computer raise temp and humidity on the Bridge".  Sel hopes the increased heat and humidity *might* cause the intruders to fall asleep.  

[Loxians]

Zentox: "No... no... no... nothing of it! A simple thank you is not enough! We will reward you in all honor, as is becoming to a Messenger from the Gods! And when I speak to your superiors at your station, I will certainly praise your deeds!
I will tell you more, commander Burma: your deeds will echo through the universe, so that the true reverence shall be known by all our people! When do we depart for your station? I am eager to see the Gate to the Realm of our Gods!"

OFF: you thought you'd be rid of it that easy huh :P

OFF: Yes a Mission was given to the ship, and we were also told a bit of leave on the station was in order before leaving on our mission.  The Klingon restaurant was already visited AND we have returned, and we are simply waiting for our (Captain) to give the order to whomever the helm officer is to lay in course etc.  So in reality we are really not behind on schedule http://expansionfleet.sparks.priorweb.be/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Prime Commander Kowan materialises in the transporter room of the USS Skytoucher, along with two Loxian escorts. He makes a strange gesture with his hands as form of greeting, and inclines his head.

"Greetings in the name of the official Loxian government, and thank you for allowing me to come aboard. I trust you have a comfortable room where we can discuss the matters at hand?"

[Roland Burma]

What is he doing here? bring him to the brig for further questioning!

[Montrell]

Incoming transmission from Station Avalon

"This is Admiral Montrell, we have received your distress signal but we are not capable to assist you. There are no ships in the vicinity and no ships docked at Station Avalon that can be of assistance. We will monitor your condition, we all expect you to return and bring this mission to a succes. We will try to find help! In the mean time, we wish you luck"

[Skon]

Skon glances over and sees Rasmain grab the phaser. He nods slightly toward Rasmain and then raises his hands and slowly approaches Kowan.

Commander Kowan, Mr. Rasmain is correct. If you take this ship, there will be no hope of peace between our peoples...at least not for a long time. You are risking the chance of a long, devastating interstellar war. Do you really think that's what your government wants?

Skon continues to move toward Kowan – unthreateningly, with his hands raised. Meanwhile, he is looking for the most likely place to apply a Vulcan nerve pinch.

[Will Robinson]

Will was gonna bow, but Burma gave him a look of, "Don't even think about it Lieutenant!," so he just closd the Comm Channel.

Zentox and Will left the bridge.

Ensign: "Aye sir."

The ensign began scanning the spacial perimeter of the Skytoucher.

Engineer's report:

When we were first hit our hull sustained minor damage but as we were continously hit with consecutive torpedoes the hull was ruptured enough to cause the emergency forcefield to automatically engage. Several sections of the ship will need to be refitted to enable those areas to be used again.

The ship's shield matrix has shut down and is offline.
We are lucky that our damage wasn't more severe because the warp core is now currently offline as well. The long continous use must have burned out the warp initializers.

There are multiple scorch marks made by torpedo strikes. Those Loxians only caused minimle damage but it was enough to almost disable all our systems.
