U.S.S. Evolution Mission 13: The Battle of Avalon

[Vorak]

*Admiral Vorak suddenly appears on the bridge.*
"Report!"

[Kelli Lauren]

"Aye aye!"

Two photon torpedoes zipped from the bay, shining a bright yellow. They streaked across the distance to the Heraani ship at high impulse speeds. As they slammed into the vessel, each leaving behind a huge plume of flame, the Heraani shields flashed and rippled as the concussive force splashed along them.

[Valory]

Sir I to mean to sound scared, cus I'm not, at all, but whats the plan, what are we gonna do?

[Vorak]

*Vorak raises one eyebrow.*
"I intend to provide Avalon Station all the help it can get, but returning now will be suicide and accomplish nothing. We will hold course."

[Legudon]

*Legudon looks at Omicros.*
"Thank you for your offer, Mr. Omicros. As I am the only Gallifreyan Agent present, I can probably use a little help. I sense you have some mental powers that may help. Please put your hand on my arm to exchange energy while I work on this panel."
*Legudon begins pushing buttons on the panel of Lt. Cmdr. Lauren.*

[Randall Sanchez]

"20 minutes away? I hope we can make it! Maximum warp, engage!"

[Durandal]

"Captain, I've been monitoring the subspace communication around Avalon, and I think it's something you might want to hear."

[William Wallace]

Captain attacking the Haraani like this might I say sir is most pussling sir. All we can hope is that they are quiet as strong as our scans indicated sir.

[Kelli Lauren]

"Um, sure," Kelli concedes, stepping away from the console. "Whatever you do, I hope it works."

[Airis]

"Well captain, I dont know if you find it the right time to discuss this with you, but i think it is. It is about the crew, I can sense there is a lot of stress onboard the ship and because of this they are  not functioning 100 %. Of course i have been asking here and there, and I think their problem is caused due to the fact they are feeling the danger of this encounter, but they are not aware of what we will do on this mission and what is expected from them. So captain if I may be so free to speak I think it would be wise if you talk to them, clear the air of questions they have. I know you cant answer all of their questions, but it might help them."

[ftima]

*After spending some time with Thomas, sharing her feelings with him, she stands up and walks to her office where she meets dr.Keilah.*

"Doctor what will happen to us? Do you think we have any chance defending our skins. I have been thinking about leaving starfleet and return to Bajor, but I realise it wont  be a solution to this problem. Besides the Evolution is my home now, but i am honest to you doc. I am really scared, and I wish this nightmare was over."

*she walks to the doctor and kisses him on his cheek*

"This one is for good luck doctor, let the prophets be with us".

[Randall Sanchez]

I have thought about it, and no I will not tell him about the child.  It will only make him conserned about me instead of keeping his mind on the safty of this crew and his duties.  That is not the reason why I must leave right now.  Only the doctors of my people can save us both.

*Zayan looks at her desperately.*

I am dieing.  It is something in our genetic make-up that causes this sickness that leads to death.  It only happens when cross-breeding with some species.... evidently Human is among them.  Our doctors are able to reverse the effects by inducing a chemical combination from special plants to the child.

*She sees the disturbed look on Ftma's face.*

It does not hurt the child, it only helps regulate the imbalance of the child's genetics that causes this sickness.  It eventually stops the sickness from advancing to the death of the mother and child.  But that only happens if the treatment is given as soon as the first signs of the sickness.  If the treatment is given later, the child is.... impaired.... a mindless body.

[Durandal]

"Yes, Admiral. I will transfer your wishes for a meeting to the Alliance High Council."

[Durandal]

"Shall I send forth the standard greeting, sir?"
