Mission 9: The Evolution's Flight

[Randall Sanchez]

*Sanchez speaks in a softer tone to Taurik.*
"You don't need to pay for the things that I have done, Taurik. I owe you so much already, if the time comes we can just claim that the Rivendell failed to capture me, and that you rescued me only just now."
*He then faces Will Matthews.*
"I'm ready to be transported back to Avalon Station as a prisoner. I have done here what I came to do, and I saved the life of Zayan and our child, now it is time I face the consequences of my actions, and take responsibility for them."

Understood, Commander return to the Rivendell as soon as you can.

Prepare for reintergration.

After a few moments the 3 sections of the Rivendell slide back together again.  All of the Evolutions crew is onboard.

[Morgan Freeman]

"Everyone to your MVA stations."  Freeman orders and after a few moments everyone is ready.

The Rivendell seperates majestically and moves into battle formation.

I am going after the shuttle the two sections need to provide cover.

Helm move us into transporter range of the shuttle and prepare to transport.  Then bring us into range of the Evolution.

[Baphomet]

Baphomet raises her left eyebrow at the Admiral.

"With all due respect Admiral, that would be considered to be overkill for one vessel; especially seeing as the USS Rivendell out classes the Evolution in every respect."
"We also already have a Scorpion Attack Fighter and the Shuttle Kelata, which will be quite sufficient, we will easily catch them before they reach the Loxius System."

Baphomet then turns to the Captain......

"Captain, sensors indicate that they have a two hour head start, I suggest we go to maximum Warp, now."

[Morgan Freeman]

"Tap into communications commander.  I want to hear what they are saying"  

After a few moments the comm channel opens and the bridge crew of the Rivendell hears the conversation between the Evolution and the rebel ship.  

"Baphomet, open a channel to the Captain Sanchez."

We have been monitoring your communication with Mr. Burma and I believe I may have a solution to your problem.
We can adapt my Fighter or Commander Baphomets shuttle to emit a native energy signature and then shift jump into low orbit.
It would be very dangerous and would get you down there but we would still have to distract the enemy forces for you to get both in and out."

OOC:  Ok so, because I am a little bored we are going to do the following.  

IC:  Baphomet reports that a small group of 3 ships have formed a blockade stopping the Rivendell from leaving the system.
"Tactical, analyze the three ships" Freeman ordered.

[Dyien]

The Avenger breaks orbit of Loxius cloaked and enters geo-syn orbit for the meantime to oversee the developments of the current land battle.

"Al'Tek, prepare to beam down supplies to the resistance of the Federation. Location Alpha393."

"Understood Sir"

[Taurik]

"Hmm. This is very disturbing. I have no doubt Captain Sanchez has good intentions for his actions, and I am eager to hear him explain himself."

Taurik presses the intercom. "All hands, this is the captain. Man your stations and prepare for departure."

"Helm, disengage from the station and set course for Loxius, maximum warp."

[Morgan Freeman]

"Of course you can, but I think Captains, if you both give me your oath that you will stay on the ship you are free to go."

[Baphomet]

Lt. Commander Baphomet, as acting XO of the USS Rivendell went down to the brig where Lt. Williams had just placed ex-Captains Randall Sanchez and Taurik.

Baphomet stood in front of the force fielded Brig compartment with PADD in hand and awaited their attention.

Once they were looking at her, she stated...

"As acting Executive Officer of the USS Rivendell it is my duty to list the charges against.

Captain Taurik, the charges against you are;
-Dereliction of duty
-Placing of crew under your command in unnecessary peril
-Fraternizing with a known Starfleet criminal
-Assisting in the theft of a Starfleet vessel
-Inciting an unprovoked conflict with a non-federation civilization without just cause
-Destruction of a Starfleet vessel, pre-dismantling

Captain Randall Sanchez, the charges against are;

-Theft of Starfleet property
-Dereliction of duty
-Failure to follow direct orders from a superior Officer
-Inciting an unprovoked conflict with a non-Federation civilization without just cause
-Placing the crew under your Command in unnecessary peril
-Undermining the principles of which you swore to uphold

Captains Sanchez and Taurik, under Starfleet maritime statute and for the record to be sent to the Judge Advocate General of the Space Station Avalon, do you have anything to say to these charges and how do you plead."

Baphomet lowered the PADD and awaited their reply, to be recorded.

["Captain Sanchez this is Lt. Commander Baphomet, the Vulcan Shuttle Kelata's sensors show a well guarded subterrainian fortress.
The complex is shielded and has multiple Phaser canon turret emplacement.
The complex's shields are multiphasic and the security system is inpenetrable.
If you intend to travel to the surfice by shuttle, which would be a logical supposition, then you will need an escort."]

*Robert enters sick bay to check on Ftima and notices Captain Sanchez and he walks up and gives a salute and speaks up.*

"Captain, Lieutenant Nonir reporting in. Its good to see you Captain."

OOC: Oh sorry, maybe you should have rephrased it then.

Freeman turns to Baphomet with a strange look on his face.  "Male ego?  Baphomet, I never pictured you as a sinic."
