Rivendell Mission 4: Defend Space Station Avalon

[Vorak]

OFF: sorry for the delay in the mission, a few other events are playing out first before we can continue with this one. It will not be much longer, so that should give you some time to prepare the ship for some fierce battle.

[Taurik]

Taurik steps off the turbolift onto the bridge.

"Admiral Montrell was not present. Commander Freeman, how are the repair preparations progressing?"

[Taurik]

"I will be in my quarters. Lieutenant Muzzereli, you have the bridge."

Taurik leaves the bridge, and retreats to his quarters. There, he removes a candle and it's support from a drawer and sets it on the table, lighting it. He then kneels in front of the table and begins his meditation.

(OFF: If anyone goes to the bridge, just take over for "Lieutenant Muzzereli". I made that crewman up since I wasn't sure who was on the bridge.)

[Mitch Walker]

Mitch enters from the turbolift, uniform shirt has been removed revealing the sleeveless shirt underneath.  His hair is a mess and he also looks unkepmt his usually smooth face is darkened with facial hair.  The young lieutenant looks haggard as though he has not slept in days.  He runs his fingers through his hair in an attempt to straighten it and walks up to the captain.  

"Sir, the navigational computers are set up to recieve the new connectors for the 3rd section.  I'm ready for my next assignment sir."

OFF:  I would like to apologize for not being around for several weeks.  I left for Christmas break and my parent's don't have a computer.  And I have a wedding to plan as I got engaged over the break and I will be getting married in May of this year.

Yes sir I would like to supervise the repair efforts of the ship.  Just out of curiosity are we going to build a new 3rd section?

With all the people that were standing arond in the sick bay it was starting to warm up.

A few minutes after this I turned to the captain. I was about to say something to him when I smelt smoke.

Okay everyone out of the sick bay. Emt in Cargo bay two.

OFF: Well. Be back in four days at least until I can post again. "No. Hold our position, Lieutenant. Any break in the line could allow the Loxians a clear line of fire towards Avalon Station."

(OFF: And I need Vorak's confirmation before ordering the attack.)

Bravo. Sounds like a party on the Celtic Corner tonight. ####. Yeah. Firing at will at the smaller Loxian ships and a shot right in the Flag Ship. Phaser fire is set. Shields are maintaining at 30%. Tactical efficiency at 60% and Navigational system are working with minor fluctuations of the controls. We have taken damage in the hull and impulse engines. You guys are just having enough of a time maneuvering this bad boy.This would be like shooting game at an arcade on old earth from what I have read.

(Solark fires phasers in five shots in sequence giving power a chance to recharge in sequence. Two shot down with shields already knocked out from the Flagship attacks. One miss. one ship got knocked out its navigation systems by a stray phaser and crashed into a Loxian larger vessel. The fifth shots was a direct hit into the impulse engines of the Loxian flagship. Sparks are beginning to pulsate out of the impulse engines of the Loxian Flag Ship.)

[Taurik]

"Permission denied. You have worked hard enough over the past two weeks. There is little to be done on the third section until materials from Earth arrive, and overexertion of the chief engineer will not contribute to the ship's spaceworthiness."

[Ferando ONeil]

OFF: Yes Captain.

ON: =/\= Medical Offcier ONeil Here Captain Sickbay is ready for any problems we have sir. =/\=

[Solark Baklavar]

Ai. Captain. I will set defense point on  phasers and put ourselves in defensive mode. Captain. Shields are holding at about 70%. Firing at will.

(Solark works the phasers within seconds. One complete annilation of a smaller Loxian vessel and yet another skidding right into the range of the exploding vessel taking some damage but still flying. As he watches the screen. He sees the other section of the Rivendell about completely shut down and a small vessel seems to rushing out of it.)

Captain. I believe a section of our ships is completely shut down and hurting badly. I just noticed the vessel. According to our sensors, it's a escape vessel. I believe our crew is in trouble. Do you want me to send a message to transporter room to prepare to beam aboard our crew. Firing once more.

(Another phaser shot out glancing a near by Loxian vessel before it diverted it's attention elsewhere.......................)

[Taurik]

--Captain Taurik, Saucer Section--

"Signal the stardrive section to re-integrate."

Operations: "Sir, the docking clamps are damaged. We can't re-integrate."

"I see." Taurik taps his commbadge.

=/\= U.S.S. Rivendell to Avalon Station. We request clearance for two docking spaces. We cannot re-integrate and need to dock separately. =/\=

--Lieutenant Mitch Walker, U.S.S. Danath--

"Well, this is fun."

During the last moments of the battle, the Danath had tried to dock with a Loxian ship, only to have it destroyed right on top of them. The debris had smashed the Danath and the small runabout was now drifting, disabled and helpless.

"See if you can raise the station."

Officer: "I might... ok... got it!"

=/\= Runabout Danath to Avalon Station. We are disabled and need assistance. Life support is failing and we are without power. I repeat, this is the Danath, and we need immediate assistance. =/\=

[Mitch Walker]

Mitch stood up and tested his feet.

"Sir, do you mind if I go and change my clothes?"  

Mitch motioned to his jeans and tank top, which was soaked in sweat.  He grabbed his shirt from the stool next to the biobed.  

"Then could I see you in your ready room?"
