Mission 04: To the Rescue

"I used to be a Chief Engineer Officer at one point in my career and know it may work. It has never beentested before with a New Orleans class doing it either. Use the tractor beam and bring the Night Walker to 30 meters from the Lothlorien and extend the warp field to match what is left of the Night Walker. Divert all power from the shielding system to compensate for the increase power loss."

Yes Sir I understand our risk, Its just that I would not like you see you in Romulan hands agian, I saw what they did to the New York crew and that is something I personally don't want to see any of us in. So what are we doing sitting on our tails? let's get to that colony.

[Mike Powell]

*He nods and gives a salut.*

"Alright Colonel. Good luck out there and happy hunting. Science release the Night Walker from our tractor beam and slow to impulse. A situation on a Federation system near the Romulan Coalition needs som Marine attention. I will notify Starfleet command of the situation immediatly. The breifing will occur at 1900 hours tomarrow after the ship is in order."

*He gets up calmly and he heads off to the ready room. He enters and in a quick stride to his desk he activates the small pc and raises Starfleet Command.*

"This is Colonel Mike Powell Commanding Officer on the Uss Lothlorion and I need permission from High Command to engage a Romulan Coalition attack party that has receantly invaded a Federation colony outside the Romulan Coalition territory. All information other then that at this moment is currently unknown and I do beleive it is my duty to protect and serve. What are your orders, Sir."

[Jim Raynor]

(OFF: Just a question. Why are marines doing missions like this? Isn't this the job of the naval branch of Starfleet?)

[Mike Powell]

*Colonel Powell enters the bridge and makes a quick announcment.*

"Attention, I am now assuming command of the ship, Colonel Brown you are releived you may return to your own ship. Bring up an intercomm sergeant."

Intercom: "Attention, I have returned and I am now assumig command. I want this ship in ship shape by tomarrow at 1700 Hours. Col. powell out."

*He takes his seat and he looks to Major Keller*

"Major, whats the situation?"

[William Richerd]

Captain Richerd after disimbarking his Pelican emidataly heads to the bridge, seeing no one so far in comand goes straight to the captains chair and begins to bark out orders

Private Grant, set course to the Night Walker's location maxiam warp, we don't know her shape.

Richerd then opens a con to a ship wide alert.

Alll hands this is Captain William Richerd, for the time being I will be heading this mission to aid General Newberry, we will be going up agianst Romulans so I want everyone at Red Alert and battle station ready at a moment ready. Richerd out

Coming onto the bridge just after Captain Richerd Call to Arms I took the Tactical position and made my report

Captain Richerd I am Chief Tactical Officer. Tactical shows green. All sheilds and weapons operational sir.

Well sir, unless you wish to abandon the Night Walker in favor of warp speed, I would then say it would take only about an hour and a half, mind you personally I do not want to leave any starfleet vessel dead in space, of course if  you have some inguenus way of towing a Defient class vessel in warp please by all means tell me.

Richerd had gotten up out of the seat was was heading to the turbolift doors.

"Indeed. We are spending too much time waiting for this bloddy confernace. There arnt many details to begin with so the information i was to give would be useless. lets get to that colony and get rid of those pests. Dismissed."
