Negotiations between Starfleet and the Delta Alliance

Are you aware MR Vorak, that none of our ships in DA space or close to it, ever exceed a low warp, in fact we discourage warp at all times if possible.

[Randall Sanchez]

*Sanchez drinks the glass empty at once. For a moment, no hint of reaction can be seen on his face, and he looks around with a smile.*
"Not bad, this Razanis stuff, it is kinda-"
*Suddenly his face turns flaming red.*
"STRONG!!!!" *Hips*"MMMMmwellllll, itzzz gooood."
*He turns to Nick Brooks, who sits on his left, and it's clear in Sanchez' eyes, that the captain is instantly drunk.*
"Yourrrrrr turrrnnnnn, commmandderrrrrr."
*He wildly grabs the box of salt, spilling half of it, and puts a big handful of it in the handpalm of Brooks, and gives him a funny smile.*
"Theeeee zzzzalt, forrrrrrr the bitterrrrrnesssssss of lifffffe."
*Brooks stares at the salt, not sure if he is willing to swallow such a large amount of salt, since Sanchez put much more in his hand than the others had done before. He takes a deep breath, and swallows it with a bitter face.*
"The Razzzzzanisssssss, tooooooo re... re... re..." *Hips.* "joooooice the soulllllll!"
*He fills the glass of Brooks, spilling alot of it on the table, so that Brooks has to hold the glass closer to the bottle before it is all spilled.*
"I... I... am the passsssst and the fffffffuturrrrre.  Andddddd the future commmmmands. Be... be... bebe... my fffffffffriend for the presentttttttttt. Nowww... DRINK!"
*Then Sanchez drops down on the floor.*

OFF: this post for Dalon was made by Vorak. I'm sorry Dalon, its just that we were waiting and are eager to have this finished, and I havent seen you around for some days so perhaps you might be on vacation.

*Looks up confused.*
"Uhm... yes, senator, right away."
*Then he turns to admiral Vorak.*
"Admiral, it appears that some more visitors have come our way to join these negotiations. An important senator, and a Talonion representative. But I must say one thing, Talonions are not quite... humanoids like we are. The senator has requested you to grant the A.S.C. Zentara permission to dock on the station."

[Vorak]

*Vorak eyes Karelia, and then looks, slightly nervous, at Ardwyad and the High Queen.*
"If you will excuse Mr. Karelia for not completing his part. Humans physiology is not as... strong, compared to my Vulcan physiology. Allow me to complete it for him."
*He eats the salt, and then pours the Razanis in his glass and calmly drinks it. Then, obviously unaffected by the drink, he turns to the High Queen on his left, who's turn was next, and puts salt in her hand.*
"The salt, for the bitterness of life."
*While the High Queen eats the salt, he fills her glass with the Razanis.*
"The Razanis, to rejoice the soul."
*The he hands the glass to the High Queen.*
"I am the past and the future. And the future commands. Be my friend for the present."
*Then he looks around at everyone, who was apparently looking at him and wondering how come he had no effect from the Razanis.*
"As I said, Vulcan physiology is quite strong enough to... to... Chaaaaaa'guuuuu vakeeeeeee RANOGGGGG!"
*Suddenly, Vorak begins to sing the Klingon Opera music along very loud.*
"Nurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrragakkkk!!!!!! Konogokaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-"
*Then he faints and falls down on the floor.*

*Ardwyad attempts to do the same gesture with his hand as Vorak does for him, but he can't seem to get his fingers right.*
"Live long and... ah, what you just said. Forgive us if we are not yet aware of your traditions."

[Randall Sanchez]

*Sanchez glances around, to make sure everyone has a glass now, and then places a glass for himself at last, and sits down again.*
"Well, let the ceremony begin."

[Vorak]

*Vorak raises one eyebrow.*
"You... are the High Queen yourself? It is an upmost honour to have our negotiations sealed with the highest person of the Delta Alliance."
*Inclines his head.*

[Vorak]

*Vorak raises his eyebrow, and gets up from his chair to walk to the nearest wall panel.*
"Indeed. I am granting the docking request now. The A.S.C. Zentara has clearance to dock."

[Nick Brooks]

*The commander looks at his captain, and reluctantly puts his own glass to his mouth, and drinks it empty. Calmly, he puts it back and looks around at all the faces of everyone staring at him.*
"What? I don't feel any effect at all-"
*Suddenly the whole room around him seems as if it is tolling around in circles, and he has to hold on to the table not to fall from his chair. Then he sees the bottle of Razanis in front of him.*
"More! I want more! Now!"

The delta alliance seems to hve the same principals as your UFP.

Governed by a High queen, she co ordinates the running of the borders and their fleets, but is in no means solely in charge. m The representatives of the member species are also responsible for their own species, such as customs/culture/orders ship running maintances etc.

So in reality its a group comittee runninght the alliance not just  leader, while we do have a leader who oversees and steps in should a "need" ever arise, which thankfully that has not happened yet

[Comm One]

*The massive metallic body of Comm One, Ardwyad's second in command Droid, turns to his Chief of Command.*
"Would that be wise? That will bring the ship deeper into the Delta Quadrant. We must request permission of the High Queen first."
