Negotiations between Starfleet and the Delta Alliance

Perhaps gentleman we, begin our writeup of terms of treaty, such as trade knowledge and defence.

*Vorak raises an eyebrow.*
"The Torrans? Quite unusual. Our last encounter with the Torrans, though it has been quite some time ago, was not very... friendly. They seem a rather hostile species, though they did not attack us."

[Ragolis]

*Ragolis suddenly walks up to admiral Vorak and holds some sort device in front of the admiral's body.*
"Please stand still, admiral. No, no, don't move! Wow, this is interesting!"
*Then he grabs Vorak by the shoulders and turns the confused admiral around, then starts scanning with his device again.*
"Your physiology is very interesting. We could learn alot from you, would you mind dropping by at my medbay when we're done here?"
*Then he walks on to admiral Karelia and holds the device against his body just as well.*
"Oh, this one is different!"

[Dhante Tehoral]

*before Dhante got his drink he could see all the affects the drink had on the starfleet crew and also the affects on his comrades and he slightly started to look forward to drinking the drink to show off to the humans that he was tougher than he looked*

*once he had taken his drink he noticed that all the people were looking at him in ancticipation of intoxication as was the case with the humans and their weaker systems*

*after taking a drink he licked his lips*
"mmm, very tasty, I like it alot"

*then he gets back to the matter at hand, the ceremony*

*He takes a bit of salt from the box, and puts it in the hand of Koloblicin*

"The salt, for the bitterness of life."

*Then he waits, while Koloblicin eats the salt. Next, he fills
the glass of Koloblicin with the Razanis*

"The Razanis, to rejoice the soul."

*Then he gives the glass to Koloblicin, so he can drink it.*

"I am the past and the future. And the future commands. Be my friend for the present."

*Koloblicin accepts the glass and takes his drink*

"Well, perhaps this is the right time to admit some secret... We did not help your Starfleet in this battle just for fun, captain Sanchez. But because we knew that your cause was right. I can read in your eyes, that you wonder how we could know your cause is right and the cause of the Romulan Coalition isn't. Allow me to explain... Since it was agreed that warp speeds of warp 4 and higher were no longer permitted within Delta Alliance space, considerable problems appeared for traders and such. Therefore, the Traquel decided to work on an alternative to the warp 9 drive. For several years, they worked on prototypes of a "Null Space Catapult". However, it did not appear to be succesfull each time. At one of the field tests, one of the Traquel named Tash, suddenly faced some spatial anomaly that threw him into Deep Space. Instead of undertaking the journey back home for years, he decided to complete the catapult project, in which he was succesfull. But only thanks to the help of some ship that happened to pass by: the U.S.S. Voyager, who apparently belongs to your Starfleet. After Tash returned to Traquel space, he spoke very highly of the help Voyager had offered him into succeeding with this project. And Voyager's help that day, has completely changed life in the Delta Alliance forever... When Tash had returned, with the modifications to a completed project, production of the Null Space Catapults began for everywhere in the Delta Alliance. This is now the main form of transportation, and it has solved many of our transportation and trading problems. We have never heard of this U.S.S. Voyager again, but we hope that they are well and that they too will find their way home one day."

[Randall Sanchez]

*Shakes his head approvingly.*
"Yes, yes... what he said."

[Vorak]

"Very well, let us make it so."
*Vorak turns to Koloblicin and nods.*
"Thank you, ambassador, for your kind assistance and hospitality to let us use your embassy facilities for these important negotiations. If you are available some day, please do consider to visit Avalon Station and its embassy facilities as well, if you like."
*Then, Vorak and Karelia head out the door.*

OFF: where do we post now?

[Tankalan]

*nods his head in a manner of thanks and drinks the glass empty right away*

*At that moment Tankalan takes a bit of salt from the box and puts it in the hand of of Sanchez the human Captain from the Federation*

*Then Sanchez eats the salt, after which Tankalan fills the glass of Sanchez with the Razanis*

"The Razanis, to rejoice the soul."
*Then he gives the glass to Sanchez, so that he may drink it*

[Ragolis]

*Stands up and coughs*

"May I make a suggestion, it would be very usefull to exchange medical information between our species. "Hmmm, I believe something could be arranged at a later time in regards to 'trying out the catapult', In the mean time I do think we need to work out some sort of an Alliance Treaty"

*Ardwyad grabs Ragolis by the shoulder to stop him from going to Reeves.*
"Later, good doctor. This is a negotiations room, not a medbay. I'm sure that the admiral will give you access to the database of their species later on. Now, sit down with the rest of us."

[Ardwyad]

*Ardwyad inclines his head.*
"And I thank you for welcoming us with such great honor. The High Queen will be very pleased, when she reads my report on our encounter."
