Mission 2: Unknown Nebula

Had two twelve hour shifts this weekend.

"Relax Ensign everyone goes through this their first time out . You will get used to it. Now if you will accompany me to the shuttle we will begin our briefing."

*They all walk into the shuttle and see Lt. Nelson sitting near a small viewscreen , they join him . The commander then begins to address them.*

"As you know the ships sensors have detected a small base inside of the nebula. We have no idea who or what is inside it. We assume the Katharians have a crew manning the base. However we do not know how many are on post or if there is a species aside from the Katharians running things.Lt Commander Jamsen has modified this shuttle with a holo emitter that will allow our shuttle to resemble the Katharians ship. We will use this shuttle to infiltrate the base. Now you may be wondering why the enviromental suits are here , our sensors cannot function inside the nebula and we do not know the atmoshpere inside of the base. We have modified the alien cloak to work with our enviromental suits so we will look like Katharians. Our mission is to find out why the base is there, and what purpose does it serve. Two things you need to know this mission is extremely dangerous  and we are on our own. The Endurance itself has not been fitted with the emitter so she will wait just out side the nebula.Should our shuttle take damage there is an Auxillary Power Generator installed . If our engines are damaged it is capable of powering up our shuttle and will allow us to make a small warp jump which hopefully will put us within sensor range of the Endurance. And finally should you get captured you will all have one of these."

*Opens a small case holding 4 small silver pins in the shape of a circle*

"These are emergency site to site transporters. They only work once and are set to beam you onto this shuttle. It's your next to last course of action. We have approximately one hour till launch so make your final preporations."

Her body jerk as she remembers the day. A disrupter

blast in the back almost ended her career in

Starfleet. A tear formed on her cheek. Oh Well

Its only a trinket.

That Medal had forever changed her life. The Green

Ens Deserved the Medal. To Face one's fears, takes

bravery. The Medal caught the light and Glisened.

Suddenly a noise brougth her back to the present.
