Thanks Mr Archer, you cleared a few things up for me http://www.expansionfleet.com/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Anyway, the point is we are here now, and we must learn to work with what we have. I will have a team start on setting up a permanent Starfleet base on the south side of the city, possibly might even set up an academy there also. Perhaps Mr Archer your practical exam for Kassie could have something to do with setting the base up?

Good morning ensign,

your role in this assignment is to create a design for the starfleet base on the planet. It must include a well fortified command center, barracks, living quarters, medical center etc. You must have them in strategically placed areas around the base.

We are currently working out plans for the planetary defence in orbit, so you dont need to worry about that. However some ground defence would be good also. maybe with your plans, you can include such defences.

*spends the next 5-10 minutes explaining to the two oficers, the situation on dantor*

I have called both of you because i need you to do something seperate from the main team. While the first team, comprising of Myself, Kassie, Cook and Jones will be entering the dome and doing the diplomacy side of things, i want you two to go to the lower decks that they have caved in. I want to know about everything down there. Is the structual integrity going to be ok, how many levels have been caved in etc etc.

Tara Lollock

"Alright gentlemen, i'm sure thats enough. I have a barrel of blood wine waiting for us all in the Celtic Corner. So lets just get through a debriefing and then it will be time to celebrate our victory." One thing she missed about serving along side Klingons was that they would never ever let a debriefing preceed the celebration of victory. The adreneline from the battle was still pulsing through her veins. She was sure that that feeling had subsided for everyone else, however she is half Klingon.

*Dolan quietly walks into the room and hands Captain Titan a PADD notifying him of Dolan's appointment to his ship as his Chief Science Officier before standing at attention*

I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was notified to report here by Admiral Yates.  I am Ensign William Dolan.  Some of my friends call me Voyager.  I was appointed Chief Science Officer of the USS Lothlorien by Admiral Yates.  He then directed me here.

*Dolan then relaxes a little and awaits a reply from the now quiet room*

Mr Valen, perhaps, you may like to take up a position as counsellor on the Iroquois? it gives you a seat on the bridge (and makes you more active too :P ) ??

"But pushing the button would be more fun then just tapping the button to have it activate anything.  Because if you pushed the button you wouldnt know what the effect was until it was pushed, so pushing is better then tapping if tapping was better then pushing." Valen tried harder to cause him to have a headache trying to think of a response.

"Very well, then let us proceed with that solution."

"Admiral, sir, with all due respect Admiral Nocturnus has been in a hellish alternate reality for quite some time. I don't think that this briefing was the first thing on his mind, if I was him I would be having a large drink and taking a well earned rest." Swift suggested, who would want to be put in a stuffy meeting room as soon as they came back from that? He didn't like going in to meetings or writing reports at the best of times.

Eugene Archer

"If I may say something as well. The presence of Avalon Station at Dantor doesn't mean that you can't do your job anymore. We will be able to do our job, and you will be able to do yours, as long as we learn to cooperate and communicate properly with one another. As Vice-Admiral Julian said, the marines are a branch of Starfleet, which means that you fall under our authority. This does not necessarily mean that we will give your people all orders and check everything, but it DOES mean that everything that happens on the planet, station, and surroundings, falls under Admiral Julian's and my responsibility. That's why we can't just let you do whatever you feel like doing. I totally agree with the proposal of having liaisons on both bases. This would increase the ability to communicate effectively."

Jason Patric

"Hmmmmmmm, I suggest we lay a minefield of little mines instead of big ones with a big punch.  Instead little ones with a big punch when crossed.  No one will expect little mines.  They need no cloaks they act just like the big ones and no one in there right mind would think of scanning for mines.  However we can mask both types of mines with a masking field that each mine has its own power source for, so the enemy would need to be actively looking for the mines, meaning they will need to have visual contact to find them."
