Good work Commander. I only have one question. With this temporal distubance, you'll have to forgive me but temporal science was never my forte, is it possible that we changed our own history upon re-entry?

Admiral, we already have plans for turrets and such. We organasied that at our meeting here last night. And with the mines sir, they lay there dormant until we activate them, so its harmless for our allies if we make it that way. Plus having mines helps control who is coming onto and off of the planet. Although, the planet is full of marines, and im sure they can handle anything that gets thrown at them (i mean if enemies land and such), so maybe no mines is a good idea. Mr Patric what do you mean?

"Dont mind my officer with me, he has self appointed himself my personal guard from intel.  What do you need, Julian?"

Julian

Ok we have waited long enough. Commander i think i will look for a new helmsman for you.

*puts his hand out as if to tell everyone to grab a padd and start reading over the briefing information*

An unidentified anomoly has been detected on the Stations long range scanners thats not on our records. Your mission is to investigate this anomoly and report back your findings. Unfortunately this mission may not be as interesting as your last one but someones got to do it. Any questions?

Take a seat.

I know you crew have gone through alot in this last mission but there's a matter Starfleet Command can no longer ignore. As you should already know, The Borg borderlines into the Doid Nexus which is in Delta Alliance space. As of late while we have been too busy fighting the war on the Na'Jigat, the Doid's have been holding off the Borg. However there is a problem. The Borg have figured a way past the Doid Nexus Defences and we need to know how. Your mission will be to fly through Delta Alliance Space and into the Droid Nexus to investigate. On your way you will be giving supplies to the people on Traquel Beta who have been hit hard recently by the borg. You are then to continue into the Droid Nexus to Unit 1 where you will be delivering a package from Starfleet. Its precious cargo and its sealed and deemed classified. Your main objective however is to go straight to the front line defences of the Droids and find out where the Borg are slipping through and why. You are only to engage the Borg if Needed.

Sir, we will only engage if absolulty necasary. However, today is a good day to die, Admiral. We will fight until death if need be. It is a tough mission but i am sure we will prevail.

When do we leave, sir.

Voyager

((OOC: I suggest we move this discussion, as we are intruding the conference here with purely OOC comments.

However, to answer your question, in the Voyager episode you are talking about (it's actually 2, but whatever), Voyager appeared to be involved in the destruction of the Sol system due to a temporal explosion.  Pretty major, considering that it is both humanity's homeworld and the Federation's capital.  Anyhow, since Voyager seemed to be the cause, Captain Braxton came to stop Voyager from the destruction that it never caused in the first place.  However, when Voyager caused him to lose control of his ship, he had Voyager transported to the same time as when he figured the time jump that caused the temporal explosion started, which happens to be in the 1990s.  Since Henry Starling had altered the timeline by using the timeship's technology to speed up humanity's techonological pace by decades, this caused another problem.  Voyager had Starling eliminated when he tried to use the timeship that would ultimately cause the temporal explosion that cause all of this in the first place.  Since Starling was stopped however, the whole incident essentially never happened, so Captain Braxton, who now doesn't remember the whole incident since as far as he was concerned, it never happened, bought Voyager back to the same exact time and place Voyager was before it was transported to 20th century Earth.

Many of the time traveling episodes seen in Star Trek are either predestination, where the people were suppose to travel back in time to maintain the timeline (I know a few Deep Space Nine episodes had this), a "reset button", where some temporal event eliminates everything terrible that happened in the episode (ex. Year of Hell, Twilight), or an accidential trip back in time, which in that case, the ship would try to avoid meddling in the timeline and find a way back, and/or fix any mistakes that they might have caused by traveling back (ex. Star Trek: First Contact).  Lastly, there is an intentional trip back in time, to alter the timeline (ex. Endgame).  There are some variations, but this pretty much constitutes most of the temporal events in Star Trek.

Now can we please move this discussion elsewhere?  PMing is a possiblility too.))
