Medical Emergencies

The Starphoenix Base on Planet Dantor was attacked by an Species of Pure Energy.  There was nothing we could do and the base was destroyed so i have heard.  I have also heard i have new orders that Ms. Parker is supposed to be handing me.

Ms. Parker?  Do you have those orders?

OFF: Geeze, B. Not everything can be won by OFF-chat...Can't it ever just be RP? You'll get your orders eventually; it's not like you have anywhere to go...

*stares at Vorak, unsure of what to call him in the universal language*.

*turning to KHa'Vah, * says buy' ngop. very quietly so only KHa can hear*  I wasn't leaving without my escort by choice. *points to the Admiral* Parker I think her name is, wasn't being very nice *in a low voice* I think she's unbalanced, she seems awefully cranky and I dont think she likes children.

*turning back to Vorak* Is there others my age to whom I could make friends with? I mean no offence but your a little older then I be.

*Parker, for the record, doesn't have a 'shocked' expression, rather more demented, and as the child said, 'unbalanced' look to her. She takes no interest in their reunion, but rather in her own.*

"In due time, Sully. You need rest. I'll let this doctor finish up."

*She rises and slowly proceeds towards the door.*

Admiral, I would like to speak to you.  Are you available?

[Mike Nickerson]

Mike takes the vial, and transfers the contents into a hypospray cartridge. After loading the cartridge, he presses the hypospray to Love's jugular vein and triggers it, releasing the contents into her bloodstream with a hiss.

"I have no idea if this will work. I would have liked to run tests on the stuff, but Ms. Love was mere minutes from death."

[Morgan Freeman]

"Captain the conduit for the mains had a plasma fire, it got pretty toasty in there.  Sorry about the whole passing out thing.  I rerouted the shield system through the SIF generator and we are good to go again.  If its alright with you sir, I will return to engineering."

[Mike Nickerson]

"Please make sure Admiral Sullivan does not exert himself too much, I must go to the Docking Bay to attend to the refugees from Dantor. Computer, please activate EMH program."

EMH: "Please state the nature of the medical emergency."

"Doctor, please make sure Admiral Sullivan here is well taken-care-of."

And Mike leaves the Infirmary.

"Well, I feel fine, and on top of that i feel like i need to get back to work.  You know how i feel about Doctors and such...  I really don't want to be in the Medical Ward any longer than I need to be.  Now tell me what that PADD is all about..  I know you came to bring that to me."

[KHa Var]

*Looks at Vorlok.*

"Where do you think your going my young warrior?  And without your escort.  This Vulcan will be an important person in our lives now."

*KHa'Var stops speaking as she notices the other people in the room.  Then deciding they would hear about it sooner or later, she continues.*

"Vorlok, son of KHa'Var.  This is the father of whom you asked much of.  You are his namesake, Vorlok son of Vorak.  I have turned your further training over to him.  We will be staying here for an undetermined length of time.  So I suggest that you make a few friends, and start bonding with your estranged father."

*KHa'Var looks from Vorlok to Vorak and back.  Waiting to see who will make the next move.  She also noticed, out of the corner of her eye, that the rooms listening occupants have confused or shocked expressions on their faces.*

"Just where is that bloody doctor?  I havent seen him in quite awhile."

[Vorak]

OFF: You won't find Skon, he has informed me that he can't post for an indefinite time. This is Vorak, and I will make a few posts with him to round up this storyline.

*Some minutes later, the lieutenant enters sickbay again with captain Skon. The Vulcan looks at Paris Love, who is unconscious for the moment. He walks to her bed, and takes her hand in an unusual un-Vulcan like manner. Then he looks at Dr. Nickerson.*
"Doctor, my apologies for the delay. My presence was required at the staff meeting of admiral Vorak."
*Then he takes the antidote out of his pocket, and hands it over to the doctor.*
"I have kept this with me all this time, for safekeeping. I did not want the antidote that can save the life of Ms. Love, to get lost or destroyed."

OFF: Somehow, we should get Skon to go on a "vacation" of some sort, to explain his absence. Perhaps the healing process of Paris Love, after using the antidote, is a slow and tiring one, and she could request to be brought over to Vulcan, to find some peace there. Skon would take shoreleave and go with her, and it could be assumed that there they marry or whatever... and Tyn's prophecy will have come true. Later, Paris Love can return to here to resume her duties. If Skon can post again in the future, he can return too, and if not, he could have decided to remain on Vulcan for the time being to undergo Kohlinar or whatever... that will leave the option open for him to return, should he be able to any time in the future.
