We could give it a try and search for any comparisons with known languages in the database, but if there was any particular similarity, the universal translater would have picked it up by now. The fact that the universal translater would also already have been able to at least partially translate the language, by trying to find some repetitive pattern, indicates that this must be an unusual complicated language. Maybe direct communications with the creature will be more succesfull. Perhaps we should give it a padd and see if it can write text on it."
*Hands the being a simple text padd.*

*Embries raises his eyebrows and looks at Eric with a smile.*

*Embries appears from behind his desk and looks around in confusion.*
"Oh... hello there! Welcome, welcome. I'm sorry for the mess. I'm packing some things, you know, because I will be going with the Rivendell on its test flight to Deep Space 20. They wanted my presence aboard that station. Don't worry though, I will be back here soon! Feel free to have a look around, and I'm sorry for my haste, but I really need to hurry if I don't want to miss my flight! Talk soon!"
*And with a bag in his hands, he hurries through the door.*

OFF: Ok I will follow in the storyline with this soon enough, but PLEASE can SOMEONE tell me FIRST, what this being is supposed to be? Where was it found exactly? How was it found? What sort of being is it supposed to turn out to be? Is it violent or peaceful? Can it talk? Is it humanoid? Does this being have any ties with the storyline of the Na'jigat attacking Starphoenix Base? "Field notes on unidentified life form, stardate 57731.1, Avalon Station science department, major Embries. Received unidentified living being in glass container. The being appears to be humanoid. It appears to be responding using its instincts. Dr. Nickerson, can you read if the species is male or female?"

*The being makes a rather funny face as her nose is pressed up against the glass and she crosses her eyes. She speaks, creating a fog on the glass.*

She pulls back, giggling at her foggy mess. She runs her slender index finger to form an unknown character.
