These are the most important parts we need.
We are now out of danger, but we are drifting in space. Our propulsion systems are badly damaged and on some decks the gravity is gone.
We appreciate your help.

Well most of the engineers are at the USS Rivendell, it was badly damaged you know.
But there are 12 engineers on duty right now, is that enough?

"Hello, Mr. Detrell. It has been 2 months since my last A.I. system routine check-up was performed. Hermes likes to remain optimal, so perhaps it is time for another check-up of my subroutines?"

*talks quietly to Detrell*
I hope this works because if it doesn't I have alot of explaining to do to Admiral Montrell.

[Detrell]

"Yes we are Hermes, aren't we Mr Chellick?"

Detrell stands up and placed the plating back were it belonged.

"Hermes, do you detect any changes to your subroutines or circuitry?"

Detrell moved to the console were the level 3 diagnostic was performed.

Admiral,
I am needing some help on the Lasha.  The warp core is giving us some problems, and we cant get the new LCARS on the bridge to connect to the main computer, and about a million other things wrong. Thanks

"It would make things much easier, yes. Probally the most important thing to be repaired manually would be the shields. I could use one persons help in getting the shield generators up and running. The cadet that does not help with that might do best at working with the torpedo bays".
He checked the panel once again.
"Both are quick jobs I think, the torpedo bays are probally just blocked by debris, and I can get the shield generators working at half percent with a hand. Lets get to it".
Knowing he might be recalled at any second still, he quickly picked Kawolsky to assist him, and Aonarin to work with the torpedo bays".

He walked quickly to a jeffries tube with the cadet in tow. He climbed up it and laid on his side on the inside, leaving room for the cadet to climb.
"Here we have the power links to the generators".
He used his hand phaser to push against one of the links and check its fit.
"I see what might have caused the loss in power. Three of these are stopping power from moving from the source to the object needing it. Cadet, if you use your own phaser to hold them into place, I will use my own at a small and concentrated setting to arc them back into a connection. It is a rough solution, but good enough untill an engineer with time can repair them proper".

[Kirby Oak]

*A newly gold-clad Ensign Oak walks into Engineering.*

"Umm, hello? I just graduated from the acadamy. I think I'm suposed to help out here until the Evolution returns."

[Kirby Oak]

*Kirby looked away from the panel.*

"What? Oh, sorry. No, nothing's wrong with it. I was just thinking about something, else.

"I've never really thought about having children. I think I need to find someone first."

[Detrell]

Hologram: We have that in stock, could you help me Commander Knight?

[Knight]

Knight entered the engineering deperament.

Good day hologram.
Admiral vorak gave my permission to refit shuttlebay 4 so we need to get a team of engineers in this room and fast.

[Detrell]

"Allright, let's do it. Adding the subroutines to the self-extractprogram and bypass the secundary controlfuntions. Well Hermes, I think that does it. Just say when you feel ready to start the procedure!"

[Detrell]

*Detrell turned to the cadets*

"Well it seems that Lieutenant Matthews can use both your help. He might return to the Rivendell soon, so me and him can use your help in repairing the tactical/security systems. Those need to be up and running asap."

*nods to the cadets and turns to his workstation*

[Dominic Hobson]

A slightly younger officer entered the engineering deck as the two were leaving. He wore the teal science/medical uniform, with a single pip.
He started for the Admiral, and stopped when he was in front of the touring pair.
"Admiral Julian, Ensign Dominic Hobson reporting in. I am newly assigned here from the Windsor. I wanted to report directly to you for assignment. I have been briefed that the stations science department has not exactly been at work of late".
