During the merging phase itself, which should take about 28 minutes and 9 seconds, I am unable to perform other tasks, including talking. My system will, however, detect that the procedure is complete and reactivate my vocal subroutines along with the other subroutines."

"Didn't you inform the Admiral? Then I hope it works too, because it would be a shame to lose such a good officer like you" Detrell smiles

"I was just kiddin, everything will be fine."

Detrell touched his console and awaited a response from Hermes

"He should be reactivating his program in several minutes Major

*Archer entered Main Engineering,followed closely by ensign Mann, after being sent there by Vice-Admiral Julian to check upon the preparation for the moving of the station*

"Well ensign, it appears to be completely deserted here. I wonder where Detrell is. Now we come to speak of it, I haven't seen the guy since my return."

*Archer walked to the main console and checked upon the systems*

"As far as I can tell, nothing has been prepared for the moving of the station whatsoever. It looks like we've got a lot of work to do, ensign. I'll inform Julian about this."

its seems the entire coperation is going to ####.
but we need to go to work.

Detrell was totally surprised by the words of the major and couldn't believe this whole situation. Didn't the Major listen to his objections? Didn't he tell him, that the choice of giving Hermes extra subroutines was not to be recommended? But orders were orders, if something went wrong, he ofcourse had to fix it but it wouldn't be his fault.

"Gheez, Hermes, how did you play this! Never knew you had brainwash abilities"

Detrell angrily walked towards the console were Hermes had displayed his favourite additions and made preparations for this operation.

[Hermes]

*Suddenly, the voice of Hermes resounds again.*
"This is the A.I. program Hermes, how can I be of service? Ah, I see that the subroutines I requested have been added. Thank you, Mr. Detrell, and Mr. Chellick."
