The XO position on the academy has already been given to someone else, but as Captain Archer told you, you can always teach at the academy. The Deep Space Academy is mandatory to gain the rank of Ensign or above, officer ranks. The courses typically last as long as the cadet is active, the more active you are, the quicker the things in it are done and finished.

If you do not wish to go through the academy, you are welcome to go directly to position as a Non Commisioned Officer starting at the rank of Crewman.

It is perfect if you are interested in Medical, as another cadet just this very day enrolled for that course, so if you would like to begin that course in the DSA to take position after completion, you are most welcome to do so, and I would encourage it.

If you are interested in the Academy, report to the Medical Classroom with Cadet Egan Coho. It is located in the 'SS Avalon' board, then the 'Deep Space Academy' board.
