"That sounds like a good idea, ensign. Could you run some simulations on the holodeck? If it takes too long, however, we should leave that part out. By the way, what's so interesting about the deck plating?"

[Hodson]

Hodson turns to the ensign.

"Kassie I don't think we will run into any problems with anything but if we do we should rerout the weapons system to the sheilds and inertial dampers for a smoother ride, what do you think?"

[Kassie]

=^= "Kassie to Operations.  We are set down here, but I must tell you if the station cant put up with the strain of the warpfield, in anyway, I will to insist we pull the station out of warp to give time to make the needed repairs.  Also I suggest that repair teams be standing by as well as a secondary precaution." =^=

Kassie's tone had changed to a more assured person as she waited for a reply.

*Archer re-entered Main Engineering, after having discussed some things with Vice-Admiral Julian and Captain Ransom in Ops. He was closely followed by a crewman from the Windsor, Biggins.*

"Thank you for helping us out in this, crewman. What we're going to do is move the station from its current location to the planet Dantor. The reasons for this are not relevant for the work you are going to perform. The plan is to move the station in the same way as Deep Space Nine was moved to the Bajoran Wormhole some years ago. They modified the deflector shields of the station to create some kind of a balloon-effect. So basically what they did, was lowering the mass of the station, so that it can be transported more easily. Besides Avalon Station's own thrusters, we will use several starships, including the Windsor and the academy's vessel the Lhasa. Those ships, together with some runabouts and flyers, will tractor the station to its new home. These tractor beams will also be important for the structural integrity of the station. Because that is one of the biggest risks in this mission: structural integrity. Your job will be to help us recalibrate the deflector shields and reinforcing the structural integrity field of the station. Any questions? If not, any suggestions?"

[Durandal]

"You know, you humans are some real pieces of work. You program me to help you, but when I make a suggestion, I don't get the time of day. God forbid, you take advantage of my processing and theoretical capabilities, which are quite beyond your own."

[Kassie]

"I dont appreciate your tone with me, Captain.  Also I dont appreciate my calculations being questioned in the manner which you just said.  So if you have a problem with my Calculations then its your problem not mine!.  So dont come down here and start taking over in an area that you probly know nothing about.  This was my idea to use the shields and I will make the calculations as I see fit.  So if you dont mind Ill take care of this in whatever fashion we all agree upon.  As far as im concerned Captain, Archer is in charge of this project not you."

<Turning to Archer>

"This is what im talking about, higher ranking officers disrespecting the lower ranks for doing our jobs and when we try to do our jobs the higher ups come bursting in to take over.  This wont do, im here to do a job, not to be ridiculed and disrespected in such a manner and have my intelligence insulted!"

*Walks over to the Jefferies tubes in a angry manner and heads up to Intersection 5, jefferies tube 8, and seals the access tubes with an encryption that would take hours to break, Kassie sat there in the intersection trying to meditate, but the thoughts of how the rude captain disrespected her kept running threw her mind*

*Returns the smile*

"My father is the Cheif Engineer on the ex USS Evolution.  Hes currently at the trial between Taurik and Sanchez vs starfleet it seems.  I was brought onto the Rivendell when the Evolution and Rivendell hooked up.  Sense I have aptitude in almost every field, Captain Taurik agreed to give me the rank of Probational Ensign.  I hope to gain the rank of full ensign soon.  I have skills in computer hacking, engineering, helms, im great with a Bath'lith, and I tend to hurt myself when I run threw my programs, the Rivendell Doctor insists I see him atleast once a month now to make sure things are going good.  Oh sorry im rambling.  If your curious, I accept the emotions of humans.  I like to be logical but being logical all the time stinks.  Besides the entire command staff for the Rivendell has Vulcans on it, so I think they bring up the majority of the logic where I miss out."

"I think you should join the Rivendell crew.  Just think about it." <Smiles at mann as she looked at him up and down then returned to her work>

*Kassie went to the propulsion console to make sure everything was alright, then called over to the ensign who was watching the integrity field*

"Ensign, let me know the moment the starbases structure base starts to waver."

"You do the same, Mann.  The moment the shields fequency gets below 50%, we need to drop out of warp and proceed on impulse power.  Understood?" Kassie said with a hint of a smile on her face as she looked at the Andorian.

"Cmdr Freeman helped with the repairs and got it to work.  Mann was able to fix the shield matrix but somehow it failed to activate, then I got worried and called Freeman down to help sense hes my superior, he went into the jefferies tubes and fixed the problem, then he fell unconscious and was beamed directly to sickbay.  I activated the shields and there operating again, the repair teams are almost done with there repairs and we should beable to get underway in less then an hour, Sir."

[Eugene Archer]

*After Archer fixed the communication problem, he went to ops to inform Admiral Julian. When he didn't find him there, he returned to engineering. When he entered Main Engineering, he saw Admiral Julian, who had apparently just entered there as well.*

"Admiral, I found you. As you may have noticed we dropped out of warp half an hour ago. Ensign Kassie is trying to find out what caused this to occur so suddenly."

*Archer turned around to Kassie*

"Did you find out anything, ensign?"

*Turns back to Julian*

"Ensign Mann and Commander Hodson are currently repairing the shields, and Commander Freeman is working on the propulsion systems. There was quite some damage to the shields, and some secondary systems, like communications, were offline as well. Repairs are progressing well and my guess is that we can go to warp again in about 90 minutes. We're approximately .05 lightyears from Dantor. Once back in warp, we will reach Dantor in about 4 and a half hours."

[William Biggins]

*Looks at the Computer Screen Showing Avalon Station*

Sir, we can get started on this but there is going to be somthings that need to be done first. the Lower Decks 275 to 500 are to be Evacuatated and Decompressed which will help in Reducing the Station Weight also we will Modiy the Force Feilds for the Space Doors to Help with the Seilds also the starbord Shields will be Modifyed to Push the Station at a Speed of 75 KpH which will Help with the Thusters also Most of the Station will be Running on Emerecey Lighting as most of the Power will be Transfered to the Thustered and Sheilds.to Modfiy the Shields them Selfs will take 1 1/2 Days  as we have to re wire the Sheild Grids and Modfiying the Deflector will take 2 1/2 Days  a total of 4 Days before we will be any shape  to move the Station also it will Take only 2 Hours from with the Captian Said the Secondaty Core can Power 50% to 75% of the Sheids and Deflectors.

"Yes sir, I think we should try to first get the shields to withstand warp speed beyond warp 4, because if that can be achieved with the help of one or 2 ships using tractor beams we should beable to move the station if need be with lil effort, so we should try to find a way to direct all power reverse the shields to point inward.  If we transfer enough power from non essential systems, we should beable to make it like the station was light as a feather, there for easily moveable.  Hmmmmm I wonder.  We could also try and maybe use several ships to extend there shields around the station at different points, to share the warp field stress while the station is in orbit, to relieve the station structural integrity of the pressure, and to ensure that the station has additional power when we get to Dantor.  Whatcha think, Sir.  Of course, my ideas have never been tested tho."

<Looks at the deck plating>

"The shield generators have all been recalibrated and are at maximum efficiency Sir.  I think perhaps if I could program one engineering station here to be the main control and monitoring point for the shield generators during the journey that will help expedite any problems encountered.  Locate the problems quickly and lock them down before we run into more complicated problems that could cause delays."

[Hodson]

Cmdr Hodson walks in to enginering and goes to Archer.
