"Well to tell the truth running freight can get a bit well, boring.  Most freighters I was on were usually only staffed with a skeleton crew.  However, there was this one ship I was on with two other humans.  They introduced me to a human sport called football.  We used to go and have kick-abouts all over the ship, tremendous fun.  They even took me to some matches when we took some shore leave on Earth.  Ever since then I have been hooked on that sport.  Ah but look who is rambling now, sorry Ensign Kassie.  Maybe some day you could give some pointers on that......what did you call it?  A Bath'lith?"

*Mann's face turned a bit more blue after asking that question, in a typical Andorian blush"

=^=I don't think it's wise to do it now, considering the amount of time left till drop-out. I say that we drop out of warp when we have to and then, while you are working on the station's shielding, the other vessels can prepare the envelope-procedure. This way, we will still safe time, along the journey. I reckon it is too dangerous to initiate it while at warp speed. We will have to drop out of warp at the same time, so give us a signal at one minute before drop.=^=

Morgan Freeman

Freeman finished putting on his suit and walked over to the access hatch, opening it he steps inside and starts the walk to the mains.

After 3 minutes he makes it to the access hatch and tries to open it being rewarded with a access denied by the computer.   He inputs his command override and it warns him about the heat then he walks into his own little version of hell.  It is too hot even with the suit on, but freeman goes about his job anyway.

After about 15 minutes of cross wiring connections he gets things the way they should be and presses the suits comm unit

=A= Freeman to Kkkassie =A=
Its Rerouted now, activate the new field and the station should become stable
=A=

With that said Freeman passes out on the deck.

Gunn Mann

*Mann reenters Engineering, turning to the Fleet Captain*

"Sir, Ensign Mann reporting for duty.  I have been cleared medically and am ready to continue with my engineering tasks."

*Mann then whispers to Ensign Kassie*

"Thanks, for the quick beam out Kassie, I owe you for that one, otherwise that heat would've done me in"

Julian

*enters engineering, with officers racing all over the place trying to fix problems with the station. They all looked like they had just had an experiance with a Klingon whos had too much blood wine*

Ok, everyone calm down and explain the situation. And where is Mr Archer?

Julian: =^=Vice-Admiral Julian to All high command currently on station, and to all of the crew involved in the moving of the station. We have finally made it to the Planet Dantor also known as the Starphoenix Base, good work everyone. Can you all please come to ops, there is something i would like you all to see. Julian out=^=

OOC: The mission is completed, this topic may be closed. Thank you.

Eugene Archer

"Please do so, we cannot afford to make any mistakes, even if it's gonna take some more time before we can start."

Durandal

"Well, if you're so wonderful, you can do this yourself. If you need me, I'll be reenacting the Battle of Thermopylae, the right way."

Gunn Mann

"Yes Sir!"

*With that Mann moves over to the selected Engineering console and begins programming it for monitoring all shield generators.*

Eugene Archer

"Probably, she will be able to make it all the way to Dantor. We do, however, need to drop out of warp several times to repair the shield systems. In those periods, we will be extra vulnerable, so we have to pick the spots where we make the stops very carefully. We will be able to reach warp 4. At that speed, and taking the stops into account, the journey will take about 20 hours, according to ensign Kassie's calculations. Ensign Mann here, will monitor the shield generators during the journey and indicate when we need to drop out of warp. I would like ensign Kassie to keep an eye on the propulsion systems. During the stops, Kassie, Mann, and Hodson will all help preparing the station for the next jump into warp. I will have to be on the U.S.S. Lhasa to tractor the station. I recommend that all involved vessels maintain an open comm-link to the station and to each other. At this rate, preparation will be finished in 36 hours, sir."

Gunn Mann

"Ensign Kassie, if the ships are going to use their shields to envelope us they better make it quick!  Shield integrity decreasing."

*Mann's panel then flashed an alarm and a klaxon sounded*

"Blast!  Shield generator near the sensor array is failing, I better get down there and lock it down"

*Mann picked up an engineering kit and ran out of Engineering, he headed to lower levels of the station in order to try to repair the failing shield generator*

=^=Mann to Ensign Kassie, I am at the junction location for the shield generator, please monitor it's condition and let me know when readings return to nominal, Mann out=^=

*Mann opened the hatchway that led to the shield generator, the heat was instense.  Being Andorian, the heat affected him more than most.  He fought through the intense heat and made his way to the generator.  He took out his scanner and began to take readings*

"Nuts, need to increase the modulation of the phase inductor."

*Mann bagan making the adjustments in earnest*

"Come on baby, get in there, ugh, yes that should do it"

*The adjustments made Mann made his towards the exit*

=^=Mann to Kassie, I have made the adjustments and.....I....think.........................................=^=

*Mann had almost made out of the conduit but the intense heat had overcome him, he lay there not moving*

Eugene Archer

*After Archer had received the distorted message from Ensign Mann, he tried to respond, but only static could be heard on the station. Communications with the station seemed to be impossible. Therefore, Archer decided to try to beam aboard the station. Since the shields were down as well, he succeeded in that, after which he ran to engineering.*

"What the f*ck is going on here! I thought this was going to be a simple mission, but everything seems to be going wrong! We have to get back to warp asap. I want Mann and Hodson to concentrate on repairing the shields, while Freeman starts working on the propulsion. I want Kassie to find out what caused all this, and to find a way to prevent it from happening again. In the mean time, I will try to fix that communications problem. Now, get to work!"

*And with that, Archer went to the furthest console in Engineering, to work on the communications system. After five minutes, he stood up and walked back to the others.*

"I've found out what the problem with the comm system is. The main local subprocessor has gone offline because of the overload. I will go down there to fix it. After that I will be in ops with Vice-Admiral Julian. I will be back here in 30 minutes."

*And Archer left engineering.*

Kassie

*Kassie unlocks the jefferies tube and follows Julian into Engineering where she spent the next 36 hours working*

"Thank you Ensign."

<Leans closer to Mann outside of hearshot of Hodson>

"Never do what I just did ensign, sometimes it shocks your superiors when a mere ensign stands up for her belief's.  Dont do that unless you really disagree with your commanding officer."

<Returning to the propulsion console, then goes over to check the shields output where Mann was working>

"So have you decided where you were going to go after you get out of the Academy ?"
http://idcards.expansionfleet.com.sparks.priorweb.be/ID-Kassie.jpg" border="0">

Kassie

<Giggles>

"Maybe, Ensign.  But I dont know if your ready for it.  Can be quite the feat trying to work with a Bath'lith and keeping your balance at the same time.  Im not sure if your strong enough for it.  Takes alot of strength and Endurance to use a Bath'lith."

"I heard these humans talks about football tho it seems too, easy for my tastes."
http://idcards.expansionfleet.com.sparks.priorweb.be/ID-Kassie.jpg" border="0">

Kassie

"Yes sir, Thank you sir."

"Briggs and Stratford, go to shield and integrity consoles and get ready on Freemans signal."

"Ready sir."
