"I'd be willing to go anywhere that's needed, Sir; however, I noticed that there was an Engineering position open on the Evolution."

"I think they are going well sir." Swift said easily. "I believe my performance i beyond that of other cadets of my year but I did have lots of training on a ship before hand. Though I am a little impatient, I really want to get out there and start exploring the galaxy."

*The same ensign as before comes into the office after chiming and drops off a PADD, then leaves*

PADD:  Sir, Cadet Mark Lois is done, hes completed his courses and hes ready for active duty.  He seems like a quick learner tho in some area's hes a lil unsure of himself at, but in time he will learn and the best learning tool is pure experience.  I think he will gain that experience rather rapidly.  He will be sent to your office momentarily.

"The Evolution should be on it's way back to Avalon, so you can wait here for it, Ensign. Admiral Madison is holding a meeting on the operations deck at this time, you should go there and find an assignment here on the station until it's arrival. Unless you have any questions, good luck with your future in the Delta Quadrant, and you are dismissed".

He filled out a PADD of information as Montez moved forward.
"Very well, you will be put to the stations roster, Ensign Montez. CMO of this starbase. Report to main operations, to Admiral Madison".

"Both the Rivendell and Evolution are based here, but they typically are away on assignment. Out of the two, the Rivendell needs an assistant CMO. Captain Taurik is an excellent commanding officer, that is an opportunity I would encourage. And of course, Starbase Avalon needs medical officers".
Hobson set out a PADD.
"So there are your best options.

U.S.S. Rivendell - Position: Medical Officer (Assistant CMO)
Ship, Prometheus Class - CO: Captain Taurik - CMO: Lt. Commander Fernando O'Neil

Starbase Avalon - Position: Medical Officer
Starbase - CO: Vice Admiral Julian

"I see, if you are interested in that position, I will see it arranged that you be put to the roster for it. The Evolution will be returning to the station, then you can go on board to meet Captain Sanchez, and report for duty. In the meantime, you may report to Admiral Madison on the main part of this Starbase to lend what aid you can until the ships arrival".
Hobson took a small case, and opened it, handing Oak one small golden pip.
"I hereby grant you the rank of Ensign, and service to Starfleet. Please get into your proper engineering gold uniform, and welcome to the ranks, Ensign".
