[Tom Hobson]

"That time is here Cadet. You were sent here to be graduated. I have a particular position to offer you, the coming new starship to this project, a Defiant class ship, needs a security/tactical officer. The Captain for that ship is here on the station, Fred Lurado. Would you have interest in that position?"

[Lois]

Mark walked in, and stoood a few feet from the admiral, "Well sir I understand that tactical and security officers tend to switch positions sometimes," he said, it sounded more like a question than a statement.

Though he would be fine with tactical officer, but he heard a few months back that the tactical and security officers can sometimes be able to do the other's job. Of course that would be quite convient for Mark, having the option of doing the job of Security and Tactical.

[Viktor Kozlov]

Viktor looks over the PADD for a few minutes before reaching his descision.

"I'd be Happy to take the CO post with SS Avlon. Sir." He answers.

[Simon Rajnus]

"Very well, Ill tend to my students then, but before I leave is there anything else you wish to speak to me about before I leave, sir?"

[Tom Hobson]

Very well, as both are needed, you may fill the positions.

[Navi]

Sir, Sorry for my tardiness, I got lost....

[Navi]

"Sir, Cadet Navi reporting as requested."

[Tom Hobson]

"If you would wait for me in the medical classroom Cadet Montez, I meant for Cadets Navi and Coho to see me, since they had just finished their time in the course".

[Egan Coho]

Coho entered the office.
"Admiral, we have already discussed my next steps, sir. Shall I proceed on?".

[Simon Rajnus]

*A ensign chimes the door, then enters the CO's office*

"Excuse me sir, Captain Rajnus wanted you to have this PADD." The Ensign said as he puts the PADD down on the Desk.

<The PADD reads>

"Admiral Hobson, I think we may have a cadet down here by the name of Swift who may beable to get out of the Academy early.  Tho hes shown some stubborness and challenging authority a little bit, but I think he deserves to be places on a ship or station soon.  Hes been showing great aptitude for his field of choice.  I still think hes a little more rough around the edges but I think active duty will sand them out.  I will be sending Swift to your office soon.

"An interesting assumption, but I was not aware of that. I think perhaps it is the Operations officer which does multiple tasks. But as a security or tactical officer, you would typically have something to do. Of course the Captain or Executive Officer could assign you multiple tasks. I have good record for you, and you are granted the rank of Ensign, you may take on the proper gold uniform. Shall I fill you in the rosters for the USS Evolution, Tactical officer position?. Your other options are the USS Rivendell, SS Avalon, and perhaps Dantor Starfleet. I think there is a security position there".

He opened the manifest on his personal screen, and uploaded the positions for Tactical/Security to a PADD, handing it to Kozlov.

"There is a list of positions in your completed feild. You can consider over which you may like, and I can work with you on placement in the field".

"You expected, Tom?.  Sorry hes out on leave for the time being so your stuck with me.  Yes the Academy does need a science instructor." Simon stated.
