I am Co-Director Diaz of the Academy.  While we do not officially have a teacher for this course, I will be happy to teach you in the meantime.

Now, I take it you have glanced over proper helm techniques and you know how they work?

If so, I want you to list every level of warp available.

Cadet Whillis, I have given you a few weeks to get your space legs, so to speak, and now comes the time for you to choose your post.

I have not seen a good amount of activity but you do show the ability to be a Starfleet officer.

I hereby promote you to Ensign and give you a passing grade in Piloting.

For your choice of position you can report to the Admirals Desk and see who has one for you.  Or you may remain at your current post.

(OOC: I dont want you to respond with one line answers, you have a crew aboard, so use them. People think that because you choose to be helm you limit yourself to only responding to the CO's orders, you can expand on their orders and provide a more vibrant post that gives the impression that you are contributing greatly to your ship)

Ender manuvered the ship in evasave manuvers and the ship ended close to the planet with an open shot.

"Engaging warp jump to the planet"he said.

Ender manipulated the controls and the ship jumped out of range, appering a few lightyears away by the planet.

OPS: Sir ships have found us again, message from starfleet: "Tiberion, reinforcements sent, inbound nebula class ship ETA three minitues"

"Sir enemy will catch up in 2:35" Ender said as he moved the ship farther away.

Sorry, Thank you sir!  As far as the options go I understand the need for flexibility here.  Given that fact I wish to continue here at the Academy and study Engineering.

Very good cadet, the only thing you didn't have right, is the question about bearing 258 mark 010. Those coordinates are located on the port side of the vessel. When determining these coordinates, the 'bearing'-number starts counting straight ahead, and then increases clockwise when seen from above. This means that bearing 90 is exactly on the starboard side, and 270 on the port-side.

I think you have enough knowledge and talent for this subject. I hereby promote you to cadet class 2, please change your avatar.

So you want to learn all there is about starship piloting. Before I am telling you things you might already know, I would like you to tell mé what you already know about this subject. Than I will have an insight into what I have to teach you.

*The holodeck changed into a replica of the Delta Flyer*

"Cadet, we are now in the Delta Flyer. As you may know, this shuttlecraft was designed by the crew of U.S.S. Voyager, which was the first Federation vessel to have explored the delta quadrant. I have prepared an obstacle course, spread over 25 million cubic kilometres. I have put the course into the flight computer. You have to perform this test fully on manual control, and as fast as you can. This test has been done by a few other cadets, and the fastest one of them, did it in 2 minute and 45 seconds. That record was set by the best cadet I've ever encountered, so I hope you will be able to beat the time, by using all theory you have learned over the past few days. Remember that you can also use the warp drive. So, do your best, and show me some real flying."

*Archer stepped away from the conn, and sat down at the tactical station.*
