"It sounds good, Lieutenant. Chances are, we'll be destroyed if we don't at least try. Coordinate with engineering to get the absorption field online."

The captain heard the turbolift at the rear of the bridge slide open, and he turned to face it. "Ensign," he said, unaware of the newcomer's name, "take your station."

Aaron Miller

<Once Aaron made sure the power was transfered to the deflector everything seems to be in working order for the time being>

=^= "Krenn, Make sure you have repair crews standing by.  This may hurt, this has never been done before to my knowledge." =^= Aaron said over the comm from his station.

"Alright ladies and gents." Miller said as he pushed a button on his console and beep was heard.

"Everything seems to be working.  CRAP!." was all Miller said as a console near him sent sparks from it.  "Captain, we have 4 EPS conduits down but other then that it seems to be working, deck 2 lost another EPS conduit, but dont worry its not effecting the systems we are using.  Their are some residual effects but it is working for the time being.  The Deflector is working and guess what.  They are firing on us.  BRACE FOR IMPACT!." Miller said as he braced himself, Seconds passed and a beep was heard at his console.

"We are absorbing energy from everything around us.  Including kinetic energy from their missle weapons and their phasors are being absorbed.  If they keep firing on us we should be back up to full capacity soon." Miller said sighing with relief.

"If you want us back in the fight sooner, I might suggest having our own ships fire on us as well whenever they can.  It will give us excess power for Kelli to use to boost the ships weapons." Miller suggested.

Lois

"The last hit took out part of our weapons array, we won't be able to let off any photon torpedoes any time soon, Commander," Mark shouted over the commotion on the bridge. From what he could tell from a quick glance there were at least 5 command personal wounded.

Durandal

"The Enterprise is making pretty good on their promise, Commander. Thirty percent of the remaining Heraan were crippled or destroyed after just the first volley, and not one of Picard's ships has suffered major damage."

Yaxara Grax

Yaxara had fought with many Heraan since the ship had been attacked. She'd managed to get out with just bruises, but now, she was confident she wouldn't pass that well.

Her current opponent was a strong one, succesfully repelling every single attack she tried. He even somehow blocked her phaser attacks. The only reason she was still alive were her Betazoid telephatic capabilities. The Heraan weren't easy ones to read, but they were readable, so she could predict his actions. She only feared because it seemed he could to the same with her.

Damn, she thought, I am a diplomatics officer, not a combatanat! Finally, she managed to shoot the Herran, but only seconds after he gave her a strong punch, causing her to land onto a console hard.

But as she lied on the floor, trying to fight away the dizziness, an idea hit her-they needed to contact someone, they needed help! If she could only...raising her head, Yaxara realized that everyone was too preoccupied with the Heraan warmaster to pay any attention to her...and she realised that the console she'd just hit was the communications console.

Grabbing it and pulling herself up, Yaxara let out a sigh, attempting to focus on the commands before her. She was going to have to use the secure channels, so the Heraan could not intercept the message...she could remember the code...and yes! She was in. Now the message...

"To all Federation starships that receive this message...this is the U. S. S. Evolution. We are under attack by the Heraan and require immediate assistance. I am transmitting our coordinates to you...please, we require immediate assistance!"

After the message was transmitted, she dropped back onto the floor, trying to catch her breath.

The Heraan

The Warmaster of the Heraan leaned closer to the Senior Master Templar of the Gallifreyan Order. "Your god has yet to make the slightest impression on this universe, yet you cling to it like a child, and denounce mine as demons. You are even more foolish than you appear, Techerakh."

The searing green blade disappeared, and the mortally wounded Gallifreyan fell to the deck as Ar'Krakh walked away.

The Heraan

Ar'Krakh stepped briskly toward the bothersome human, and absorbed the phaser beams with his energy blade. He let his mind reach out and grab the creature, and draw him closer.

"Has anyone ever told you," he projected into Malcolm's mind, "that you are extremely annoying?" The psychic emphasis on the word "extremely" was enough that it caused the lights to flicker slightly.

He haphazardly tossed the counselor aside into the bulkhead, hoping that maybe a broken bone or two would straighten the human out. His elite guard gathered alongside him, and made their way back to their stealth boarding craft, where they proceeded to leave the area under cloak.

Kelli Lauren

Kelli had just gotten changed and dressed, and was ready to head to the holodeck to make preparations, when she bumped right into Mark as she stepped out of the door.

"Oh," she said, straightening her hair and chuckling slightly, "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there!"

James Krenn

((Aye, I've been meaning to move it along a bit...))

The ship slowed, being brought back to it's previous Warp speed before the warp core overloaded. "Captain; Current ETA to Earth is 39 Minutes!" James shouted, probably a little louder than was necessary.

James Krenn

James tapped the controls on his console, manipulating the ships drives to comply with his instructions. "Course set, Warp factor two engaged."

The lights around the ship were tinged red and there were members of the crew bustling about everywhere, making preparations for the fight to come, but the Bridge seemed oddly quiet as the crew waited for the ship to arrive at Saturn, and the fight to begin. James broke the silence, announcing that they had arrived.

The ship dropped out of warp, and James manoeuvred it to come into formation with the rest of the Fleet on the dark-side of the planet.

"Quiet, both of you! I can't have my bridge crew at one another's throats at a time like this, or we're sure to fail!"

Kelli Lauren

"Computer," Kelli yelled over the commotion, "activate the emergency medical hologram!"

The Mark III EMH materialized on the bridge, and spoke the unyielding "Please state the nature of the medical emergency."

"Doctor, Lieutenant Miller is injured, and we can't get him to Sickbay. Can you treat him here?"

"I should be able to. Help me move him to the corner?"

"Use the captain's ready room, the desk will make a more appropriate bed. Besides, this bridge obviously isn't very safe right now."

As soon as Kelli reemerged from the ready room only a few moments later, she kicked a beam out of the way and took over Operations at the Mission Ops panel directly behind and above the command chair.

"Transfer all auxiliary power to shields. Helm, start making a wide circle around the battlefield, we'll make passing strikes at the Heraan."

Lois

OOC: Absorbing energy from enemy attacks and using it for our own? A little off, but not up to me :P

As the ship shook once more(or didn't) Mark threw his hands in front of him to grab on to anything he can to stop himself from falling. He felt even more angry at himself, regaining his footing he quickly left the Bridge and headed to Sickbay. Maybe this was something he could do to help the injured, he thought to himself as he passed a group of crewmen running by in the opposite direction.

Jean-Luc Picard

A fleetwide communiqué appeared on the Evolution's main viewer. "This is Captain Picard of the Enterprise. I'd like to thank you all for holding off the Heraani attack until we could arrive. Utopia Planitia, while damaged, is secure, and will be repaired within the next few weeks. If the need arises, the Enterprise will be taking on triage patients from those wounded in the battle."

Kelli Lauren

"Damn it! Security teams to deck five, NOW! Durandal, you might as well take over bridge control." Kelli grabbed a fallen phaser rifle and bolted into the turbolift.

Upon reaching deck five, Kelli and Malcolm saw a crisscross of phaser and plasma fire at the intersection ahead. Kelli took up a position behind the closest wall, and began popping out to fire at the invaders.
