**I look at the Doctor as he speaks and gesture that everything appears to be okay so far.  I glance down at my tricorder.

"I agree  with the Doctor, Sir I am picking up various life signs out there.  Does anybody know we are down here?

Captain Raynor salutes the General.

"Good to see you sir, we could really use the backup. We're stretched pretty thin down here. Major Keller is organizing an attack, but it's only a matter of time before we're pinned here at the base again."

[Jim Raynor]

"Alright, Corporal Ramirez, gather eleven of your best men! Have them ready to go on a moment's notice! Sergeant O'Shea, if we need to leave, you're in command!"

[Nathen Keller]

*... After about 5 hours Keller and his small team reach the surface and meet Captain Raynor and the reinforcing platoon...*

"Captain, thank you for getting here so fast on such short notice. They need us down there really bad. I will explain it to you on the way back."

*...The marines head back for the Skytoucher away party...*

"I will make certain to tell Mr. Rasmain of your request, Mr. Balkazar."
*Comm One continues to target the nearest spiders, covering for Balkazar.*

"Sir i brought some things to make explosives. I think we may be able to fool these things into coming over them. We just need to get them in groups over the blasts."

"The matter is definitely pure organic. It appears to be some native animal of some sort, that is likely growing inside in a way butterflies do in most cases. We will likely find more unknown plants and animals in the ruins of the starbase, until everything has been cleared out and made habitable again. I suggest we proceed."

*... Major Kellers voice is heard but it is faint and there is static disturbance...*

"Captain we have entered the cavern and commenced our search for the survivors. There are signs that a group of those damed metalic spiders are following. I would like you to organize a team for reinforcements for us if the we need it. Have them on stand by and ready to go immediatly. Major Keller out."

*...The signal is cut and Kelelr continues his mission...*

*... He looks to Commander Rasmain...*

"Thank you commander. I have a platoon of 38 men. We can have a squad resurface and send a comm to your ship and my men. The base has about 70 men that need immediat evac. Captain Jim Raynor is standing by with a ready platoon of 17 men to aid us if needed. If your ship could beam them to the entence of the cavern they can join us here and bring additional equipment that will help us in the defence and the research of this area. I myself will accompany the squad that will resurface."

*... He looks to Balkazar...*

"Commander, I never intended in leaving you down here by your selves. I have seen hundreds of men be killed by these blasted spiders and I cant stand to see any more death. I will be going now. I will meet you all back here in 6 hours the soonest."

*...The Major selects the best men for the squad and he heads the opposite direction...*

"It is extremely difficult to make an estimate of that, Mr. Rasmain, as I do not know exactly how many spiders are on their way to attack us. But I would strongly suggest our scientists in the base to continue developping the poison, because only then can we prevail without having to abandon the base."
