*He walks up to a panel he sees in the distance. Suddenly, a spider appears in front of him. His foot instantly crushes the spider, as he walks on.*
"This computer system may yet be operational. If we can activate some power generator to work at least on a minimum level, we may be able to find out more information from this computer system. The controls appear very alien, but maybe our alien companion can decipher it. If we allow AK to work the controls, while we create a perimeter around her to protect her from any attacking spiders, we may find out more information in a much shorter time."

"Then you can go out there and distract them for me Commander. Unless you or your men have a way to tunnel."

Raynor flicks the Puma's comm switch again.

"With all due respect, General, we don't take orders from the FSS. If we leave here, several people may die. We're not leaving until our job is complete."

OCC: My character in RPG time had little to no time to research what has been going on here, so can someone help out?

The buzz and sights of a transporter were obvious as Lurado beamed in to the station.
"I have just come from the Lothlorien, Romulans who have attempted to..interfere..should not halt our work to restore Dantor. What is the status of the work here? If things go badly in orbit of the planet we may have more than we came for"

*...A Marine Lieutenat walks up to the major with a report...*

The Lieutenant
"Sir, we are picking up life sighns fromunder ground. It is inclear to as how many are down there becuase our tricorders are damaged and nearly out of energy. Beta Squad is searching for an entrance to a cave leading to an under ground passage of some sort. That might be why we are picking up life underground."

*...The young soldier stands at attention as major Keller turns around to reply...*

"Intresting Lieutenant. Have Alpha and Delta Squads assist Beta. Has Bravo and Charlie teams found anything?"

"No, sir. They have not found anything but all the teams met up at the same location when they picked up life forms under ground."

"Have all teams searching for any kind of underground entrence."

*...The Major leaves his quickly built quarters and heads out to a group of marines working on a Comm Array...*

"Sergeant, what is the status of the Comm array?"

The Sergeant
"Sir, she is pretty banged up but not beyond repair. we can have her up and running again at at least 45% effincy in 6 hours at least. Maybe more."

*...The Major Sighs and replies...*

"Thank you Sergeant. Try your best to get her up and running as fast as possible. We haven't been in contact with Starfleet in 2 months now."

"Yes, Sir. I will do my best."

*...The Major walks up to a Marine Captain that is his acting XO...*

"Anything Cpatain?"

The Captain
"No, sir. Not a damn thing. Ever since those blasted spiders came we have not came in contact with any one except our company. The men they are loosing hope. I do not know how much longer we can keep them motivated to keep pushing on."

"I know, Captain. When you look into their eyes all you can see is fear and I don't blame them. Has that shuttle been running latly?"

"No, sir. After carter took it up to see if it would run after the repairs we havnt gotten a damn thing to work. Bless his soul he will be missed. I only wish we could have known those spiders were hiding in there. He put up one hell of a fight to get that shuttle down as safelty as he could."

"Yes he did. If he were still around today that Comm array would be up and runing. Sergeant Forker is good but not as good as Sergean First Class Carter. Well I will be seeing you Captain. i have things I must attend too."

"yes, Sir. I will see you at 20:00 hours for the staff meeting."
"Indeed, carry on."

*...The Major heads back for his quarters to update his log...*

[Jim Raynor]

"Copy, Major. We're setting down now. Over."

Raynor walks back into the cabin and taps the pilot n the shoulder. "Make it quick. The boss wants us back in the air, pronto. We're on CAP duty."

Raynor hops out of the rear troop opening once the Pelican hits the dirt. He motioned for the pilot to release the magnetic cargo rack, and the huge crate of equipment falls to the ground. "Major, we picked up the motherload. We've got portable phaser sentries, iso-mag disintegrators, and even a Puma."

A second payload drops from the cargo rack, and the Major looks to see a AP-101 "Puma" assault vehicle. A large, jeep-like truck with a rapid-fire pulse phaser turret mounted in the back.

"I've already got three marines ready to take her out on patrol," Jim says, as three marines jump from the back of the Pelican and man the Puma. One gets in the driver's seat, another rides shotgun with a phaser rifle, and the last operates the turret.

"I'll leave you to sort this stuff out." Jim jumps back up into the Pelican and the large dropship lifts into the air again, points toward the western wall, and flies away. It doesn't take long before the marines can hear the pulse phaser turret under the Pelican's nose laying into the waves of spiders.

[Jim Raynor]

Raynor stands next to the dropship that reads "Victor 993" on the side. He is simply overseeing the repair of some minor damage to the ship when the large door to the hangar is blown from it's jamb. Seemingly unending numbers of the cybernetic arachnids begin pouring into the hangar as Raynor jumps aboard the ship.

"Pilot, get the engines to idle. Get ready to... pilot?"

One of the spiders was standing on the windshield, and had just lunged it's claw straight through the transparent duranium "glass" and into the pilot's chest. Raynor pushed him from the pilot seat and fired the engines. Those marines that had not already fallen to the arachnids piled aboard the Pelican as Raynor maxed the engines, and the transport shot from the hangar.

"Major Keller, this is Captain Raynor aboard Pelican Victor 993. The base is crawling with the spiders and they seems to be going towards your position. I recommend you grab what salvage you have and await evac. Over."

Captain, the situation is currently under control. There appears to be a large number of spiders native to this planet, that appear to be poisonous. However, we have been succesful in discovering a poison to fight them back with. We have currently withdrawn to the part of Starphoenix Base that is already rebuilt, and have our scientists and medics look into it, in order to reproduce the poison and diminish the number of these spiders, in order to secure the planet and make it inhabitable again.

"your not very bright are you Mr. Balkazar. If you keep picking fights i have no doubt you'll be  out of starfleet before you can say court marshall. If the ship has a CMO or Counsellor, i would like to see if the commander here is fit for duty."

"ok, put some ground in between us and those bombs".

He put his phaser back to his side and started to fall back from the bombs and spiders with the rest of the officers.

Two more companys beam or repelled down to the surface either from Transporter Pads or the open cargo bay.
