Manach lowered the phaser compression rifle which he had modified, using the equipment in the Science Bay, to become a Tachyon disruptor.  The enemy continued to attack in wave after wave.

Ya know, Balkazar didn't say how high I could crank a Tachyon disruptor up...

Manach chuckled.  The robots came in another wave.  The Marines under Manach's command met them with a hail of phaser fire.  Six dead.  Four seriously wounded.  The energy reserves in their weapons wouldn't last forever.
