"I know sir, but he has impressed me in those few hours, and I was wondering if it would be possible for him to stay on as my apprentice? And he would be off your hands at the DSA. You would be free to concentrate on other matters."

[Kawolsky]

"Yes, cadet. Very good. Now, I have some work to catch up on and I think that it is time we took a break from training. You may work on the computer program in the Meeting Office, if you like. I will call you back when I think it's time to continue. You are dismissed, cadet"

" i would reluctantly follow the captains orders, but i would ask that they note my objection in the ships log "

[Kawolsky]

"16.4 seconds will be fine cadet. We don't need it to be dead on 15 seconds. And besides, the officer's response time will be different each time. I'm sure in the heat of the moment, the reactions of either of us will increase"

"Computer, lock onto myself and Cadet Scotty and beam us directly to my office"

*The computer beeped and in a few seconds, the two appeared back in Kawolsky's office*

"From what I have seen so far, I'm sure that you will"

*Kawolsky sits down in his chair and passes a PADD over the desk*

"These questions are designed to test your knowledge of the information contained in the Security/Tactical database. I would like to see if you have studied it at all."

*Kawolsky hands Haynes a padd with questions on.
