"I'm glad you are interested in this project but, yes, the reason you are here is to learn so that one day you can become a respectable security officer. There will be time to 'tweak' the program later. For now, the program is fine. There is no immediate or foreseable danger to the base and I don't think trying to shave 1.4 second off of a response time justifies neglecting your training, I hope you agree?"

" i would sir but outside the parameters of an investigation, i would take bio readings off of the transporters and internal sensors, so that i am not officially disobeying the captains orders "

[Kawolsky]

"On stardate 48423.0, the USS Voyager, at the time in the Delta Quadrant, recieved a communication from the former crewman Seska, saying that she had had Chakotays child. This turned out to be a trap and when Voyager investigated, they were attacked by the Kazon and a transporter module is stolen. Captain Janeway (now Admiral) then decided to go after the Kazon and retrive the module. But why would she do that? Why not just give the Kazon what they wanted?"

[Kawolsky]

*Kawolsky re-enters his office and heads for his desk. He turns on his computer*

"Computer, open a subspace communication with Commander Balkazar."   he asked the computer

"Channel open"   the computer responded

"Hello again, sir. As you know, I have been given the position of Chief of Security here at Starphoenix Base. I am contacting you regarding some 'work experience' for your cadets. I would like to offer this to one or two of your best cadets, that is of course with your agreement. The experience will include studies of security protocols, active security training and weapons handling tests. I hope you will decide to agree to this. I know it will be very beneficial to them. I await your response"

*Kawolsky notices that Scotty seems a bit apprehensive*

"Relax cadet, you seem...nervous"

[scotty]

" no sir, commander balkazar was jsut about to start my training but was busy "

"Hmmmmm, Get scotty back in here."

[Kawolsky]

"Please take a seat Scotty"  Kawolsky asked

"Look, cadet, I know I shouted at you back then, and I apologise but you must understand that in my position I have a lot of responsibility to this base"

5:If you need to take out a weapon from the Armoury, please complete a form, stating your name, rank, weapon taken, quantity and reason for taking out the weapon. Also include a 'Returned'' field and put a yes when you have returned the weapon. Until you return it, put a no in.
