"What about vehicles? We got any tanks we can use?"

*Lilque walked up to Balkazar.*

"Sir, may I have a word with you in regards to 'marine relations'?" she asked with concern in her voice as she walked to a near by station

"OK well, let me know if there is anything I can do in the case of your hostile situation, and as for the briefing yes I am fully aware of the mission, but you know as well as I do, You did not bring me along to fight as a foot soldier sir. I am willing to but I know that you asked me to come along for other reasons. and I am fully prepared to take on any responsiblities you may have to give me." she retorted rather impatint to know what she would be doing

"also sir, I have not met any of your marines, could I possibly do that before we get into deep water?" she questioned

[Simon Rajnus]

<Simon walked out and over heard everything going on between the 2 of them, then walked up to Brown and Rena, then leaned close to them>

"Rena, Threatening officers that I have served with for over 20 yrs is disrespectful and rude.  Brown take tactical and drop the matter.  If you want to know bad enough then im sure you will find out in your own time but for the time being, go back to your station." Rajnus told them both.

"Helm, whats our ETA?" Rajnus asked as he took his seat.

"Sir, ETA 2 hours." the helmsmen responded.

"Well, then I suggest someone calls down to the marines and informs them of the ETA so they can get ready." Rajnus told no one in particular.

[Voyager]

Dolan had moved onto trying to get the sensors to scan the system they were approaching when Rajnus asked his question.

"I'm trying to get sensors to scan the system we are approaching.  I think if we get a little closer, we might be able to penetrate the radiation the star there is emitting."

"Very good, I guess we get to do a very rapid in and out.  I think a 5 second pass into low orbit should give the marines enough time to beam to the surface.  Biggins, take helm control and get ready to fly us into a low orbit pass of the planet.  We must keep ahead of any enemy fire from the surface long enough to beam the marines down to the surface and get out of weapons range." Rajnus told his crew.

[Voyager]

Dolan had gotten onto Balkazar's command vehicle and looking over all of the scans of the space cannon.  It was massive - it had to be at least a kilometer in both width and length and the barrel had to have been as long as the the ship.  The cannon must have taken weeks to fully replicate and assemble.  It was more of a massive gun emplacement than a cannon.  Early scans indicated that it fired plasma-based projectiles, though it also could have fired purely kinetic-based - anything fired from the cannon had to have enough momentum to escape orbit and hit any approaching vessel, which implied extreme speeds.  Dolan continued to pore over the scans, looking for design flaws as much as the design itself.

<Turning his head, he nodded to his XO without showing too much emotion, just a hard serious, silent look about him as he turned to face the front of the ship>

"Helm once everyone is onboard, set course and engage maximum warp." Rajnus told the helmsmen.

"Brown, you have that bridge.  Rena, I would like to see you in my ready room." Rajnus said as he got up from his command chair and left for the ready room.

[Balkazar]

"We will be taking as much heavy weaponry we can pack on the Puma's.  KEEP IN MIND! that the orbital canon WILL fire on the Normandy once we are close enough to be beamed down then the Normandy will retreat back behind friendly lines but still within communications range.  As for explosives anything that will make a nice big dent from a distance.  We have also been cleared to use the Power Armor to mount the heavy weapons on to use as artillery support, but they WILL be slow to move so ground support to protect them is a must.  Otherwise we will use the foilage to our advantage, since its primarily forest terrain.  Anything else?" Balkazar said.

[Richard Brown]

"It wasnt a matter of questioning, Rena.  It was a matter of questioning if you will allow our past love affair to affect your judgement.  I dont need my crew knowing my personal life nor the connection we have." Rajnus told Rena.

Tom tapped a few commands on his console, redirecting power from the terminals in some unoccupied quarters to sensors. It wasn't usual procedure for boosting power, but he was sure the Captain wouldn't mind.

"Try now, Lieutenant." he said a little dryly.
