Mission 6: "Unto the Breach"

[Voyager]

The extra power helped but only marginally and the radiation was only partially penetrated.

"The extra power wasn't enough, I think closing the distance is the best solution," replied Dolan, "Also, it seems likely we will be flying blind into the system.  We might have to transport the marines by pure instinct.  We'll have to figure out how the Heraan managed to penetrate the radiation."

[Voyager]

"I'll get right on it," replied Dolan.  He wished he could use the UEF interfaces since they were so much more convenient, but he couldn't and so had to make do with what he had.

After trying several methods that should have worked, Dolan said, "It seems the Heraan are jamming our sensors in addition to using the radiation as cover.  They sure know how to cover their tracks.  Anyone have the parameters for Heraani jamming signals?"

[Richard Brown]

"Captian, when we Drop the Shields for Beam Down, it will take 7 to 10 Seconds to Re Raise them in an Planets Atmosphere, given that, we will be open for attack, or, directly After Beam Down is Complete we Engage Warp 1" Said Richard

Cloud paces, drilling his aides on what to expect and what to do when the time came.

Dolan finished his algorithm upgrades before he decided to see what he could accomplish from the bridge.  He arrived at the bridge soon after getting in the turbolift.  He gave a quick salute to the officers there before heading to the Science console and looking through what was there.

[Raszagal]

"I can't tolerate that droid," she spoke succinctly. "He's absolutely infuriating. I'm unable to work around him, because the urge to plunge my blade into his central processor is too great."

After waiting a moment, she added another comment. "I'd like to make a suggestion, not from soldier to officer, but from Gallifreyan to human. Keep him in line, or remove him from the corps as well. It's beings like him that start wars."

[Rena]

"excellent Lt. thats what I wanted to hear." she replied

*Rena walked up to Brown and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder*

"I am Commander Rena, I will be your exectutive Officer, and don't be alarmed or concerned, my demeanor is in no way your doing. You are doing an excellent job, glad to see fine officers on this ship." she said then walked to the science station

"A stroll would be refreshing, Captain," replied Dolan.  He sitting at his console for some time now and his legs were starting to ache.  However, he made no move to get up from his seat.

[Voyager]

"Yes, sir," replied Dolan.  He joined the rest of Balkazar's command staff inside the command APC once he finished checking everything was in order.

It has been brought to our attention that the Heraan have been building a 'lookout' outpost on a planet not to far away from this system.

Intelligance reports that the base in not yet fully operational but is heavily guarded by both anti air turrets and a planetary defence canon. There is also a small platoon of special ops guarding the building.

Station Avalon has not picked up any activity in the planets system as its sun is emmitting radiation that is blocking our sensors. So we can only rely on the intel we have recieved. The planet is M class with mostly shrubs and small lakes covering it.

Your mission is to take the marines to the planet and destroy the base before it becomes operational. You are to stay out of the battle as much as possible as that defense cannon can cause serious damage to starships in its orbit. You are to drop them off and get to a safe distance, while also staying in communication range incase to warn the marines of any extra company.

This mission is of utmost importance. Expect casualties.

After rematerialising in Transporter Room 1, Tom made his way to the turbolift, to which he said; "Deck One"

The lift began moving with almost no motion detectable by Tom as it rose through the decks towards the bridge. The ship was of an old design, but it had been well kept.

Stepping out onto the bridge, Tom nodded to the Captain and Richard before moving and taking his place at Ops, which in this case was in front of the Captain and next to Helm. "Captain. Lieutenant."

He began running the usual new-ship diagnostics, still annoyed at the happenings of earlier, but determined not to let it show.

[Balkazar]

"Good, Idea's Raszagal.  Have some of the Technicians assist in that.  Well if their isnt anything else, Your all dismissed.  Raszagal with come me." Balkazar said going over to a corner of the motor pool out of earshot.

<Once Raszagal came over she stood their>

"Alright, What was that transgression between you and HK on the Heraan vessel?.  Your supposed to be working together not threatening each other.  If I hear you even threatening another person or sentient being again I will inform your superiors and I will have you removed from this corp.  Do I make myself clear!" Balkazar said in a whispered tone.  "If their is anything else you wish to add, now is the time." Balkazar told Raszagal.

[Richard Brown]

*Richard Walked up to the Commander and Leaned In so she can Hear him*

"Commander, Its Him, Is'nt it" Said Richard with an Sly Tone

*Richard turned and whent back to the Command Chair*

Raszagal stowed her phaser rifle in the forward cab of the Puma, and climbed into the driver's seat. She maneuvered the Puma slowly under the tail of one of the Pelican dropships, where it would be magnetically clamped to the underside of the tail when they were ready to launch.
