Mission One: The Haaren

[Andrew Yates]

"Director Rajnus, take the Mannon. Your navigator should be there waiting for you." Admiral Reed, I will accompany you to your office there are some other matters I need to discuss with you."

[Simon Rajnus]

"Admirals."

*Simon motions for the Unity crew to exit the room and head for the Mannon*

"Brown, Ship Status and armory compliment, dont need to go into a situation unarmed.  Reg, prep the ship for launch, Sitgor, get to the bridge and assist in the Mannon power up, I doubt shes been out of the hanger for awhile.  Ill be with you shortly."

*Enters out of breath*
"I'm here!!"
*Comes to a stop beside Reed and talks in a low voice*
"I heard of the changes. I abandoned my assignment. I am glad to report that I was not discovered"

*Simon walks into the briefing room and sits down next to Andrew*

"Hello, Admiral.  I hope your in good health, I heard you had a surgery awhile ago.  I hope its doing alright.  Admiral Higgins sends his regards and last I knew he was recoverying well on Dantor."

OCC: I mean I dropped the old rank system and reverted back to the classic Intel system so your avatar should be the Starfleet Intelligence Agent avatar.

"Hmm, I wish we could further more investigate that problem but we have much higher priorities to deal with."

[MalcomReed]

"I have no reason to believe they are hostile. The incedent that occured in the past was under one of their more klingon like Generals. Whom was never caught. Our abilities are limited for sensors. The mission will be a blind one, however from what i gather from the old logs the planets system is in a clearing inside the cluster. Our concerns are this, how have they progressed, who is their leader. And establish if they still wish for peaceful relations."

If we are to go back to the Cluster we need to totaly re design the Internal Defences of any Starship. I was there in the Cluster as Tatical Officer of the Unity I and a Strike team of 5 took 12 hours after the entire crew was taken to re take the ship,but us who were hiding in a cloaked suttle. they manged to take down the internal Defences and disable the Main-Computer  so all Defences we had had no effect at all. also the Combat systems has to be redesign totally as well if you go fly in half blind and no upgrades to our combat and Defence systems we should Surrender now  to them before we even leave.So I say Admiral if you plan to go on this Mission you have to upgrade and totaly design the Main-Computer Defences as well as the Ships Internal Defences and the Combat Systems if you plan on not doing that you have signed  the Death Warrent of every officer on this Table
*looked Directly at Reed*

[Rylaan Brish]

The doors slide open, as Rylaan walks in fidgeting with his uniform, holding his PADD in his hands. "My apologies for being late... The replo-tailor kept spitting out the wrong size uniform. What have I missed?"

*OOC: just to save time... I'm going to just assume someone filled me in... and run with it...*

Rylaan blinks in his usual manner as the basics of what's going on is explained to him. "Sirs... with a small amount of time... I'm sure I can come up with a way to make the sensors better... I have a few theories going in my mind right now as it is...." With that, Rylaan sits back in his chair, takking out specifications, and other such things as his mind raced with ideas.

*Yates looked about the table and smiled at all the activity. Such things have not been seen at a Confernace table here in a long time. He gets up and walks over to a wall mounted LCARS screen.*

"Director Rajnus. You will be using the USS Mannon for this mission. I beleive it is an Akira class ship and is very capable of holding its own if a fight breaks out due to the special augmentations the FSS has added to her. as for sensors there is not much anyone can do. Vice Admiral Starwind, the best starfleet engineer since Rear Admiral Detrell and Admiral GAry Fisher, even has yet to be able to design a special long range sensor that can operate withon the conditions of the cluster. So I am afraid you are going to have to navigate the old fashion way... you are going to have to use land marks and the stars. We have created a map of the cluster based on the information from the last mission to be held in there, the mission with the Unity and Exaclibur. Using this map you should be able to navigate through the cluster and for the occasion I have brought in a special navigator for the job, Lt. Matthew Ambler. One of the best to serve in starfleet. Form here I will turn things to Admiral Reed. I beleive he has alot to say on this task."

[Andrew Yates]

"Well, the people of Neyo Prime have not been hostile twards us with the exception of them mistaking us for being allies for there enemy. I do not beleive a highly advanced defence system is necessary. But I suppose its better to be safe then sorry. How will we find were its last location was and were it might be now? Actually, what do you think Admiral Reed?"

[Rylaan Brish]

Rylaan looked up as his commander spoke "He's right... Perhaps we should consider just upgrading the Unity with some adapted weaponry and shielding. I've augmented the ship's shields with Fire Knight formulae, and they should hold. As for sensors... I had a few ideas, but your right... I don't think they would pan out, unless we could set up a field of orbiting Class 1 Sensor probes around the ship that would relay information back to us as we flew... but again, it would only pan out if we could find some way to teather them at a usable distance..."

[MalcomReed]

"It makes no difference to me what ship we use. But our mission is clear, we will send a crew to check the progress of the Neyo people. This mission does not require special skill nor technology. Simply keep a low profile. If your confronted use the cover that you are a transport lost. Whatever ship you choose to take, be ready to depart in 2 days. Dismissed."

[Andrew Yates]

"The New York C was never constructed. The receant reorganization of EF and the extream downsize in crew made us have to cancel the construction and the ship was never more then blue prints. Now Brown this is the last time I will tell you to sit and be quiet and let Admiral Reed speak. I can ensure you the ship is more advanced then the Unity and if I have to tell you again I will through in the brig and you can sit this mission out. Do I make my self clear, Agent Brown?"

*Stands Up*

*leaves to get some of hi personal things out of the storge Locker*

*Yates looks to Jarret and then looks to Reed.*

"Hmm, I am sorry but that information cannot be disclosed at this time. A selection process of a number of our best officers are being withered down one by one as qualifications are made more difficult. Fortunitly there are but 4 out of 64 officers left so I will let you know ahead of time before he arrives. I see you have business here to take care of so I will be leaving you now. Good luck"

*Yates exits the office and heads for a ship that is about to depart for Avalon.*
