I say Gamma, As a marine i agree with Patrick, we need something with a little bit more bite to it, in reality how long could a Intrepid really last all alone in this space?

Besides, something like that will fit nicely with the traditions of a marine, first one in last ones out as the saying goes, and they need something to help deliver them to hot spots, and with a transwarp drive, that can be done a whole lot faster. Yep my vote is for Gamma class ship.

The Gamma class was created at Gamma Division and will have the latest in technology develop there by the Research and Development teams.

Now, since I like the Gamma Class starship and am the Chief Engineer Officer on the Gamma Starship USS Delphia A and know the ship inside and out as well as built the ship from ground up with help to the specs with the complete Command staff there.

I vote for Gamma and I having an new Cloaking Device added to the ship and a few minor ajustments to add more quarters and taking some of the fighter squadrans off.

Never the less he is correct. The defiant is a perfact match for the marones. But perhaps a differant class. You can search the web and alls you see is Defiant, Intrepid, Galaxy Soveriegn and all of the famous classes made popular by the seiries. Perhapes we should go with a less known and ship. Perhaps a Nova Class ship.

Where do you intend to have this ship constructed? I offer the Engineering Center of DS20. Starship construction is the fuel of an Engineering/Construction Division.

Well, I have a character in the Marines (Jim Raynor) so I figure my vote is pertinent too.

Iam the First Officer of the Uss Reliance and  we need to find a ship that we use that can insert Marines  into any  attack area an also be able to stay and fight with the Fleet of need be and even though the Gamma is Ugly it has what we need for the Marines

Eew. Not liking the Gamma. Looks like a kitbash of a Galaxy-II and a Sovereign. I think we should go with something canon (seen on one of the TV shows). A Defiant fits the Starfleet Marines perfectly.

Iam not saying the Definet is a bad ship at all Iam saying the Definet has limits that a gamma class do'nt the Gamma class has the Fire Power we will need for our missions.Also the entire crew of the Uss Reliance has voted for Gamma Class.But i still say that as Marines I do'nt what to be the RECON'S For the Fleet we should have a ship that can RECON and also wack a Puch as a Battleship thats way the Gamma Class is best for the Marines

We can't have cloaks. The Treaty of Algeron with the Romulans forbids it. Sorry.

Well, I still say Defiant. We have enough Sovereigns (Phoenix, Ticonderoga, New York C, etc.) and the Gamma is too odd. Also, remember, Starfleet isn't always about military force. Don't forget, Expansion Fleet is mainly intended to explore the Delta Quadrant. A fleet of overstuffed battleships isn't feasible. Granted, the Marines are a tactical force, but they should have a smaller ship. Large ships like Sovereigns have crews of 800-1000. That's too many marines to use on one ship. They need a ship that can be manned by a light crew, like a Defiant. And besides, Marines don't need a big-time battleship, they're ground soldiers. Let the Starfleet ships handle the big space guns.
