DAMAGE REPORT:

"open log: The reason the fighter started shaking and rattling was simply because the plasma flow conduits had been deliberately left without reinforcement.
My crew had to reinforce the conduit with a nanopolymer. To give you a mental representation of what happened, as the fighter accelerated to warp 3.5 the intense heat on the conduit caused a tear to be formed in the warp engines. When the ship pulled to warp 4.1, it's maximum speed, the tear turned into a whole the size of a basketball.
Commander, had you continued at this speed for more than 10 more minutes the ship would have exploded due to over heating the plasma in the coolant tanks. All of our fighters need to be inspected for this problem. Once this repair has been made the fighters should be well capable of travelling at warp 4.
