*...He picks up a tricorder and scans him...*

"Sir, he has massive clotting in his inferior vena cava. I have some medical training. If we are going to save him we have to operate and remove the clot surgicly."

"Sir, I ahve looked up Captain Starwind Medical file and it seems he has a long term history of heart attacks. His first was when he commanded the very first Uss Venture. His first major one was when he was an admiral and there was an incedent in the pub with me and Tucker..."

"Hello, doctor, we are having a tour, and want to see your first work, since the transfer from the Aztec."

"Well, sir, now that you're here, please give me an answer about 8. If we don't act now, she will die. There might be a way I could remove all her implants, but I'm not sure she'll survive. And I didn't know my request was granted."

"Doctor, your quest to save 8 of 12 may have caused things you aren't aware of. We cannot get what is needed to save her. The only option is to take the implants, or give her what you have, to keep her alive, and to recover."

*Sisqo prepares his tools and he also waits for the admiral's response.*

"Thankfully, sickbay is a little silent at the moment, you may find interest in the Star-Nova research center. There, many of our projects and such are worked on, by major Green and commander Cook."

"Keep me posted, lieutenant. Make sure she is fit before returning her to the Excalibur project, though I'm sure Mr. Williams will be glad to have her assistance back."

*grabs a tricorder and scans.*
"Mmmmm...... you're fit to return to duty."

*Gets off the biobed.*
"Thank you, doctor."
*Walks away and sees the admirals and looks at them.*
"Sir, I'm fit to return to my post."
*Walks out.*

"I look forward to read the conclusions about this in a report, admiral. We shall now proceed to the research center."
*Vorak nods at the doctor and at 8 of 12, and then heads toward the door.*

*Hits a control on the bedside which sends a medical system sliding over Starwinds body*
"You"
*Looks at Cruse*
"Monitor his lifesign readings, tell me if it moves the slightest. I will begin emergency surgery. I'll have to do this the old fashioned way..."
*Takes out a tray of surgical tools and scans for the exact location of the clot*

[Leonard McCoy III]

"hmm..he will need to keep away from stress if he can. He should be ready to wake up in another hour. From there I can monitor his return to health. Thank you for your help Lieutenant. Your welcome to stay for when he wakes up, or if you have other buisness"
*Begins to move to each monitor*

[Dean Starwind]

*Dean beams into the sickbay and onto a bio bed*

[Steven Cruse]

*...He walks over to the monitores and carefully veiws the screens...*


"He is stable for now sir."

[Leonard McCoy III]

*Leaves*

[Leonard McCoy III]

*Comes running in*
"No medical staff! Wonderful!"
*He begins to get readings*
"Major heart attack.."
*Takes a hypospray and injects it into Starwind*
 =A= McCoy to anybody, I have made the Captains heart rate stable, I need extra hands in here Medics or not! =A=

[Leonard McCoy III]

*Spending a good hour and a half not moving his eyes, he sets the surgery knife he was using gently to the tray and steps back, taking a deep breath and wiping his face*
"..They don't teach you that anymore in the academy..thank goodness for my grandfathers philosophies"

*Begins to check the lifesign readings*
"He should be fine for now, the clot has been removed. But it was severe. He will need to make a check with his doctor every other week...we can only hope it does not become a regular problem, or the worse might come of it".

[Dean Starwind]

*About two days after he incidnet Starwind awakens to see a sleeping doctor by his bed side. He gets up and sneaks out and thinks to himself.*

"Thanks doctor but I am afraid I wont be able to thank you in person..."

*He exits and heads for the OPs*
